Ford wants my truck for emission testing
Have you ever received a request from Ford and Roush asking to use your vehicle for emissions testing?
I got an invite today in the mail. Includes letters from Ford and Roush and a card to send back. Doesn't appear to be fraudulent.
They want to use the truck for 1 to 2 weeks. In return they provide $100; free use of a Fusion (full of fuel); wash, vacuum, and fully fuel the truck (boy is that going to cost them); and exchange of vehicles at my home.
However, once they find out my truck only has 6,700 miles they may not want it. But I am considering doing this (one, I really like the Fusions and would like to drive one for a week or 2).
Has anyone else ever participated in this and what was your experience?

Ford and Roush? emissions testing on what, your diesel? what would Roush have to do with emmissions testing a diesel? are they producing performance parts for it?
I'd be a bit concerned sending my truck off to have it put through it's paces by whoever they deem worthy for 1-2 weeks.
then when I do get it back, IF something goes wrong in the future I will always wonder what they did and if the problem was caused by something they had done.
Legit or not, I'd have a hard time convincing myself to be ok with it. But it's your truck so your choice.

[Something Funny Here]
$100 and a tank of gas to rent my truck for 2 weeks? **** no.
Only way it would be remotely enticing is if you were seriously interested in buying a fusion and saw this as an opportunity to get paid to test drive one for an extended period of time.

Good points. And it is on my 2013 diesel truck.
The test is for Ford. From the letters they are using Roush to test 2013 vehicles and send the data to Ford engineers. The purpose is to evaluate how well the emission system is functioning. They say it will be tested on a dynamometer and driven.
The scariest thing is that they will make repairs or adjustments to the emissions through their diagnostics. Scary because the truck has not been back to a dealer since we bought it a year ago. It runs excellent and I don't want that to change.

There is the occasional post I've read elsewhere where the testing resulted in a blown engine and the manufacturer only wanted to replace the engine. The hurt parties eventually got a new vehicle, but only after tons of wrangling, some of it legal.
I would NOT take this so-called deal, which is basically abusing your vehicle for two weeks for $100.
