Default Ford voided my warranty

Brought my 2013 f150 fx4 ecoboost in today to my local Ford dealer and he notifies me that my warranty has a flag on it. Last spring I had an issue grinding when trying to engage the 4x4 and Ford said it was related to the 2" levelling kit that was on the truck.
I purchased the truck used from a Ford dealership with the level on it already. So I removed the levelling kit on my own dime and they fixed the actuators and replaced a bunch of parts and the issue still persisted. Ford Canada tried saying it was related to the level but when I told them I had removed it before the new parts were put in they were guilty of producing faulty actuators and covered the cost. Ford finally said they would cover the work on it but any other work related to it wouldnt be covered and I could understand that they wanted to wash their hands of it. I re-installed the level kit a week later and have not had an issue since.

Bringing me to today...I had a check engine code come up and I scanned it to see it was a P0016. Related to the timing chain stretch Ford has a TSB out for. So I take it in to my dealer and he calls me up and says Ford has voided my warranty completely due to aftermarket parts on the vehicle.

Here are my aftermarket parts: 2" levelling kit
Cold air intake
Cat back exhaust
None of which are related to this known issue!!!

Ford is now saying that the vehicle had been modded and that they will no longer warranty anything! I still have 20kms of power train left!

Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Anyone know of steps to take to get this resolved?
I've contacted Ford CS to start a claim.

This is my eighth f150 and will most certainly be my last if they don't resolve his issue.

Hopefully people notice you are in CANADA. No Moss-Magnusson Act. I can't really offer any insight, but I wanted to highlight an important fact.

Man really sorry to hear that. Hind sight is 20/20 but always return to stock before taking truck in for warranty work. That's why I'd keep all my oem parts, it's a bitch but as you know first hand a lot of dealers will use any excuse to void the warranty.
Really sucks

I think the best you can do is open a ticket with Ford and try to play nice. Stating you have been a Ford owner for your last 8 vehicles is great, and that you wish to continue putting your faith in Ford is also great. However I would avoid taking off the gloves until they have denied you. The service rep you work with could care less if you buy another Ford, or go to GM.

As you did not install the level kit, and it was on the truck when you got it, you may have some room to push. Something along the lines of "had I known the truck had a leveling kit, and that it would void my warranty, I would have looked into another vehicle."

Good luck my friend, I hope it all turns out right.

I brought the truck in for a 4x4 issue and they went under my hood and took pictures. No reason to even be under the hood.

We have the consumer protection act, which is pretty much the same thing.

At the end of the day though, if Ford says go pound sand are you willing to go to court and use your time and money to fight it, which possibly will end up costing you more than the cost of the repair? Yeah you might win, but you might not.

I'd try and work with them, and if they still tell you no then the best revenge is getting a different brand of vehicle next time you are looking.

Ford Canada is bad for this. I have a Ford mechanic buddy who told me never to bring my truck in with my aftermarket wheels, as they have voided warranties based on that. They have to take detailed pictures of the vehicle and send them to Ford for warranty claims. If they see something they don't like, void. They have a large volume of work move through this dealer, so they may be treated differently than others though.

Do you know of anything in Canada that is similar? The aftermarket parts have zero effect on this known f150 problem.
