Ford Tech Svc Bulletin 14-0014?
#421
With the oil drained we then cycled the ignition so the High pressure fuel pump was on, then we waited several minute to see if fuel would run out of the oil pan drain. After several minutes we did have steady dripping that smelled of fuel. The engineers asked us to run this test and advised us to replace the HPFP if we had fuel draining. We have ordered a new pump assembly.
I will keep you posted, we may see the pump this week."

Is it just me or does anyone else see Tunerboost has posted and just skip the thread, because they are tired of the sales pitch?
Just couldn't keep quiet any longer .

I'm getting there. It's not that I don't think the RX system is probably a great add-on, but the constant pitch is a bit much.

Starting to feel that way too. That being said, he's a great salesman and does provide some valuable knowledge. I'm sure these forums have made him a few $'s. I believe there are a few troubled engines that could benefit from his catch can but my eco is not one of them at this time, my pcv is working very well.

Will this actually work to test if the hpfp seal is bad? Would the lift pump have enough psi to push fuel past the piston in the hpfp? I'm stick of getting my oil changed and told to come back. So I will to test it before I bring it back. Its either this or time to trade it off before I spine a bearing. I also plan to pull a oil sample if I decide to keep and try this.

I'm going to go on record and say I will never ever install an aftermarket catch can. If a vehicle presents me with too much trouble I get rid of it. Lots of choices out there, and time is already in short supply. Trying to fix a lemon is very low on my list.
