But now I dont really want to get a part installed somewhere else and then drive to that place just for the time factor. I would strongly suggest thinking twice about the premium care warranty. I'm going to check and see if I could cancel it and pay for the service i'm currently getting but I'm sure they will not let that happen. I think its a joke that ford thinks replacing a ball joint does not take the front end out of alignment. This is probably why ford didnt need a government bailout. GM would have warrantied all of that and I would have only paid 50 buck. the rep actually told me to go talk to the GM of the other dealer and maybe they would reimburse me for the previous unsuccessful alignments. I'll just save my breathe bc that will not happen.
D@mn I bought that warranty too, now Im nervous. Should have skipped it, but after looking at close to 4000 for my last trucks transmission work it swayed me to get it. But I bet my transmission will go out at 100,001 miles this time around...

I'm just going to trade it in when my 100k premium warranty runs out.

All the manufacturers are a pain to deal with when it comes to stuff like this. Its not only ford. You would not believe half the stuff that went on at the chevy dealer I worked at.

Just heard from the dealer. It was out of alignment, again, and they said the ball joint was good. I should have taken a video when we checked them. When i asked why my truck has been out of alignment 4 times in the past 6 months he explained that just happens sometimes. Also they found the rear axle was leaking, which was covered, as well as a rear shock which wasnt covered. So far the warranty has been a waste of money. I was debating whether to level the truck but it just sounds like a bad idea, although they dont seem to cover much anyway.

I applaud you for 'seeming' so calm with the whole situation. I think some of the problem is that you keep taking the truck to different dealers. Not trying to nag you or anything but I feel you could have gotten a lot further by simply putting more and more pressure on the higher ups at the initial dealership. You would have had a solid case by the end and I think it would have been easier for Ford Customer Care to give you some satisfaction in that case too.

That being said I hope you stay FORD because these are the type of issues that pop up with every manufacturer.

Also - extended warranties are not sold to give you peace of mind - they are sold for their realization of 100% profit - I would never recommend them in any circumstance.

Ehh, this is just a dumbfounded opinion. To each his own but you can't warrant that with proof, maybe only personal experience. I had an extended warranty on a corvette once that covered many things that failed after the initial warranty period and was WELL worth the 1800 I paid for it.

.
YOU ARE 100% RIGHT, however, its how the DEALERSHIP handles the problem that gives the name its reputation. I've had Nissan, Infiniti, Toyota, Lexus, and GMC, the service was 100x better than at Ford. I love my truck to death minus the uneven tire wear, clunking differential, intermittent radio malfunction, and the F\/cking service department! To be honest, I'd buy another Ford if they can fix the service department, the clunking isn't so bad once you get use to it.

Just a little update. I took my truck back to the same dealer bc the front was visually out of alignment again. This time the said the rotors are what is making it vibrate. They said they could turn the rotors and that would take care if it. However, they just called back and that didn't fix it. Then they go to tell me I need to get new rotors and that will fix it, plus I have to pay for the labor when they turned the rotors. What a joke. I'm having our mechanic put the rotors on but that's still 400 dollars and it still vibrates
