they changed the oil slinger and bolts and bunch of TSB's for the trans....
now this thing is quiet......no bangs or clanks.....shifts fast and seems tight, and throttle response off the line is Impressive....with my 34" tires.
had lagging going into reverse, now its tight shift way better...
had surging going to 1-2-3 when cold start
the noise it would make on a hill parked..sounded like 20 yr old truck with the u-joints ready pop out of it.....
I did a thread about what they did...

Hey folks!
If you're experiencing this concern, shoot me a PM so I can look into ways to help. I'll need your VIN, mileage, full name, daytime phone number, and preferred servicing dealership to get the ball rolling. If you live in Canada, reach out to my colleagues on the forum, FordServiceCA. Here's a link to their profile: https://www.f150forum.com/members/fordserviceca-150023/

Time 3 back at the dealer for mine. Dropped her off yesterday at 2:30. Also told them about passenger door rattle and I am getting my maintenance for life done. Need everything to be good for the 29 hour drive to OH. Waited 20 mins for a tech to come "hear the noise" but he never came. Service advisor just went out with me and made me duplicate the noise. His face was almost that of surprise when he heard the pop and snap. lol...

Well, this is day 3... How long is this supposed to take again? No updates or anything.

I took mine this morning. I told them to forget it. I went to parts and ordered the TSB 13-7-7 parts. I will make the repair myself. There are no changes to design. Only loctite.
I think I'm officially done with taking my truck to Ford service. The process is flawed. They would take my truck in, take it apart, have to order parts and I would have my truck for days. I do commercial real estate for a living and need my truck. the parts for the TSB are $42.00 and why they wouldn't stock this stuff is beyond me. The next step if the noise comes back will be changing parts out to custom parts that will not fail. Ford, shame on you. This has been a problem with my truck since 4 months old and after a new rear end and multiple trips to service with my truck parked waiting on parts your repair is loctite, seriously!
I have had many new vehicles, this has been a PITA experience beyond what I have had in the past with other manufactures. I like my truck. I guess I will have to just start modifying parts to solve the problem. The easy fix is the loctite the pinion nut. F that. I'm putting it back together and I will be welding it in two places. It will never do this again.

1. Flange bolts
2. Slinger
3. Spacer
4. Seal
5. Lock Lubricate
6. Threadlock sealer
7. Grease
The only difference is the application of threadlock.
