Me too. I was reading this thread looking for someone with a '13 experiencing that noise when shifting into R. I do notice a bit of hesitation and noise shifting from P-R-D etc. But i have never owned a ford before so i am not sure what "normal" is anymore. Plus my last ride was 11 years old so I am also wondering if it's a technology thing.

Here's one for ya' ! Had the TSB 12-11-17 performed approx. 3 weeks ago and while shifting felt a little tighter, I'd still hear the click when shifting into reverse, once in awhile and was planning on taking it back in.
Got a call from the dealership, yesterday, saying there was a newer fix, that was just released and to bring my truck back in.
Has anyone else heard of a newer fix?
Will be dropping truck off tomorrow and will have more info on what, exactly this "NEW" SB entails and will post back !

The latest is TSB 12-7-13. It's a slip joint repair kit. I had 12-11-17 done, but to no avail. If the newest fix doesn't work, it might be time to try the ring and pinion.

So did a ring and pinion repair solve the problem?

My issue: https://www.f150forum.com/f38/scary-...veable-206415/

This was a direct result of the initial TSB where they tighten the bolt that connects the drive shaft flange to the pinion.

My entire rear assembly has been replaced with a new revision. Supposedly the issue was that the drive shaft flange that connects to the pinion was micrometers to large and by tightening the flange bolt they hoped to compress it into place... so much for that.

Also to note: I do not have my truck back and it will be 3 weeks tomorrow since it went in....

Got mine back. All they had to do was tighten the pinion nut...no click now.
