Ford says Microsoft is out, blackberry is in

Which is why going to a 3rd party that plays equally with everybody like ford is doing is the smart move.

I actually want to be a cool kid so if you can send them my way that would be great.
I'm curious how many on here have actually had MAJOR time on both platforms?
I'll sum up my experience.
Was a Verizon customer = No iPhone on network
Waited and waited
Waited some more
Motorola Droid came out with vanilla android
Set screw it and went with OG droid
Loved it and when Droid X came out had to have for bigger screen
It started sucking and wasn't very stable
Went with Droid X2 and it still sucked plus hated all the bloatware and didn't want to root
Verizon finally got iPhone so I gave it a shot and haven't looked back.
I would rather have neither in the truck but as someone mentioned just a pass though for the phone essentially making the main LCD a slave screen for the phone. The phones do everything sync does to include voice commands.

Who are these cool kids you speak of? I've not had any cool kids make decisions for me and my Apple products.

I never got the hate on iTunes. I don't want to manage my music and media by drag and drop. It's a huge PITA. I did that with my Droid X and it sucked big time. I like that iTunes keeps my stuff organized, in one place, and shareable. When I plug it in to charge, it syncs, pulls down a new playlist and done. I like that when I buy something on my phone it's there on my computer, iPad, and Apple TV. Music is arranged how I would do it anyway - artist folder, album folder, and music in the album folder. Yes it has its quirks but for what it does, it does it well. Although I think they should separate out the device management from iTunes though. Really? I don't want to be that dork talking into a Phablet or loose yet another stylus. And the displays in Apple's stuff are generally quite good quality. They were one of the first to put truly good quality displays in phones. As far as performance, let me direct you here: http://www.anandtech.com/show/7517/g...xus-5-review/4 The iPhone 5s is still a top performer in the majority of the benchmarks. The architecture of Android needs fast CPUs to make it work well. And please tell me what features I'm lacking in my iPhone cause I can only name 1 - Torque Pro. That's the reason I keep my POS Droid X around. Other than that, there are more useful things that I can do with my iPhone than Android. Yes, you can customize Android but that's about it. And you forget device longevity. I bought the hot, new, greatest Android in 2010, the Droid X. It barely got updated to Gingerbread and when it did, it had significant bugs including the "feature" to reboot when it felt like it. Had I bought the iPhone 4 at the same time, I would be running iOS 7 now. That's only because they put it on the cheapest POS phones. I can buy 1000 Android phones, most of which suck donkey nuts. But when you get into the good stuff, there really are 3 players on the Android side: Google Nexus, Samsung, and HTC.

You have now, I have been rocking Moto droids since the very 1st Rzr, yeah that one sucked but all the rest have been gems.
Currently using a Droid Ultra and love it.
I went the root path and all that, never ran any roms because stock worked for what I used it for. Currently on Kitkat and couldn't be any happier unless it started spitting out $$$$.

LOL true! Apple would probably say, "Sorry, but you don't own the license for the software in your truck, we do. You go where we tell you, biatch."
Linux would say, "We won't tell you how to set up your stereo, that's for you to figure out. Go search a forum somewhere."
Google would say, "Here's your radio, cd, pandora, dvd, navigation... oh, wait, but here's 12 ads for you to X out of first before you can use anything."

As for Ford choosing QNX/BB. I hope it is simply not a cost move to appease the bean counters but a much better system overall. There are still plenty of consumers out there that can barely figure out how to change the wallpaper on their 5 year old MS Windows PC let alone knowing how to use the My Ford Touch system. Perhaps it was ahead of its time?!? lol
