Just did this upgrade. So much confusing info about this mod out there so I thought I'd share how it went for me. I called 1-800-FORD-KEY to confirm what parts I needed. Once I gave them my VIN they told me I needed the following:
DL3Z-19A390-C (RMU module - Canada. US will be -B)
DL3Z-19A361-A (Security module)
I ordered these parts through my dealer and looking back I paid waaaay too much compared to what I could've gotten it for from a place like Levittown Ford online. But whatever...
I followed the instructions from levittowns website. Install was very easy. Straight up plug and play. The two modules are zip-tied to the AC duct. Cycle the key on and off eight times to initiate the programming mode. 20 seconds later it's all done.
The most frustrating part was getting the system activated. This has to be done by someone at the dealer where they have access to the PTS website. My dealer was confused by the whole thing and not very helpful. I walked out of there and called up another dealer the next province over (Rodeo Ford - Medicine Hat). These guys were way better to deal with. The service rep put me on the phone with a tech and 9 minutes later they had it activated. Awesome! I offered to pay something for their help, but he told me not to worry about it.
Paid my $50 annual fee online and I'm good to go. By far the hardest part was dealing with a clueless dealer. If you buy the parts online and find a cooperative dealer to activate it for you this is a real easy mod.

I've had my Remote Access starter for over a year and installed it myself. But it has just quit working, I've called the hotline and they told me to bring it into the dealer that installed it.
My RMU unit is constantly flashing. When it was working it was solid on.
This is what I have tried:
-I've unhooked everything and reconnected after a day.
-I've done the reprogram with the key again.
-I've taken the sim card out and cleaned it
Not sure what to do now? Can I order a new sim card?
I'm thinking it is the sim card or the RMU unit.
thanks

For those of you that can no longer use your ford remote access, my buddy and I both have these systems installed in our vehicles. Mine is a 2014 Ford Edge, his is a 2014 Ford F-150. Both of our systems quit working on Thursday October 30th. It keeps giving us the error pop up with no communicatin to the vehicles.
I've called the ford mykey 800 number numerous times since Friday and have been told that their service or servers are down and they are working on it and should be back up soon.
I was able to talk to a tech at mykey today and he said that they are having a problem and asked me for my sim#, vin#, my phone # and what part of the country I live in. It sounds to me like they have no clue and are in the information gathering process.
I've talked to audiovox who is the manufacturer of the system but their standard answer is to take it to the ford dealer, unfortunately my buddy is a tech at my local dealer and he is not aware of any issues nor what to do.
The other people I've been trying to contact is spindance, they are the subscription company for the service, my guess is this is the place where the problem exists. They have not responded to my voicemails or emails.
If you guys hear anything or figure this out post up on here and I will do the same.
By the way we live in northeast Ohio.
