nice. well if you do decided to buy something from them in October, use "Facebook" as a promo code and get 5% off. Not much but better than nothing.

It would be nice if there were an "On" option. I'm running the latest update for the Sony 700W with Nav system in a 2013 F-150.
I agree it would be nice if there was just an explicit option but mine seem to turn on correctly depending on the outside temp.

HOWEVER....

Once I start the car it reverts to seats off and AC/Heat back to what I had it set to last time I had the truck on.

Looks like the parts supplier got their hand caught in the cookie jar!! I bet ford put a stop to them selling them to the open market! I know we can but many parts directly from them we need to mod our trucks but this is a new concept they are just introducing and to have the parts supplier sell them from underneath their feet isn't a good business relationship. I think you will find them back up for sale after the 2014's come out... For now if you want one I would just go to ford accessories and get it there, btw I thought it was 385 installed at check out so the dealer can't really do much about overcharging to put them in as I did this to them before.....

I'm not too sure about that. To Ford, parts sales are parts sales, who cares who sells them. The issue with the parts we were trying further above, was we were ordering the "C" part which is for Canada. It's possible that Ford moved those parts to Canada only more than punishing a vendor for selling them.

Just my two cents anyway. Looks like to get the App working we need to upgrade to the 200 series remote anyway. I ordered my 200 series through Tasca yesterday and it's already shipped. I'll see how that works before I look at spending more.

I have the factory remote start (100 series) the one that came with the truck. Last week I had brought it to the dealer to have the bi-directional remote start ( 200 series) with security installed. I dropped it off and they called me back an hour later and told me they couldn't install it because of the factory one was installed. They said they could not remove the factory unit because it is integrated in the system. Sounds like bs but I would think they would know. They mentioned I would have to get the remote access but did not have any more info at the time and would get back to me. Seems funny to me because almost all F150 lariat and up come with remote starts.

That is bs. 200 series just plugs into the tpms behind the glove box. Leave the 100 in as well then key fob and keys will work to start it

Isn't the 100 plug and play as well? You can add the 100 after the fact can't you?

^^^^ This is correct. They leave the Series 100 in place when they install the Series 200. Maybe Ford is pushing the app since it requires a monthly fee... continuing source of revenue perhaps?
