The Ford Remote Access app is available for both IPhone and Android users to control vehicle features. The app lets you remote start, remote stop, lock, unlock, audible car find, and there is even an optional feature to receive security notifications.

This is by design. You can start the truck only by using the key.

I travel a lot. The system purposefully shuts down to save the battery (it is constantly searching/validating the cell service signal.)

Open the App on a Browser, click the name (link) on the image of the app. You are able to set a "wake up" date and time.

I have the Ford Access website saved on my phone and can set a wake up time just in case my truck goes into sleep mode while I'm away for an extended period of time.

Has anyone else been having issues the past 2 days? My truck is not in the sleep mode yet every command I sent just fails, sometimes it says it couldn't reach the server, other times it just says fails, try later.

Getting a little irritated as I pay for this service.

I understand it is supposed to go into sleep mode, the problem I am running into is that the app never comes out of sleep mode and it won't let me do any actions at all (including schedule a wake up time), even if the key has been cycled or the truck has been running in the previous 10 mins. I will try going to the website and see if it works from the website vice the iPhone app.

Yes, I have. Both yesterday and today. Truck driven daily, too.

Sorry you are experiencing it too, but at least I know it's likely a larger problem than just me. I also drive mine daily, poor thing probably never goes 24 hours without being driven.

So I just tried to use the website to access my remote start and it says I am in sleep mode and no functions work (my truck has been running in the last 12 hours). I also tried to call ford at 1-800-FORDKEY and the person who answered is definitely not a Ford representative. Is there some one who actually updates the phone apps or who we can call for help? Again unless this is fixed I would not recommend spending the money for this accessory.

I've been having intermittent issues, could not connect to server or command could not be confirmed, for the past week.... Although 90% of the time the command does work for me even when i get the error(s)...

Same issues here, I sent an email to mobilapp@ford.com

We'll see how that goes....
