Issue: Ford Remote Access app review

The Ford Remote Access app is available for both IPhone and Android users to control vehicle features. The app lets you remote start, remote stop, lock, unlock, audible car find, and there is even an optional feature to receive security notifications.

  • What, if any, are the costs associated?

All I know is that Viper is really fast.
My 14 BMW 328 with smartphone access takes almost exactly 90 seconds every time. Complained about it and there has been no resolution to it. It's not just mine. My 14 f150 with this kit is 3-5seconds.

That's pretty impressive Ford is so much faster than the other brands factory competition, now if only they would add the features aftermarket provides they would be the first factory starter system to every be worth getting!

I recently installed this in my 2015 SCREW. My truck did not have remote start previously. I purchased it as a kit on Ebay from Fairway Ford. You get a "Y" harness, security module, cellular module, and LED light. You can choose to use or not use the security features (shock sensor) or the LED. I chose to use security but not LED. Simple 20 min install. Basically unplug obd2 port, plug in "Y" harness and zip tie and plug modules into the harness. Dealer has to turn it all on through the IDS, along with options like heated seats and rear defrost. They will also activate the cellular module and give u a pin good for 3 days. It is a $50 year subscription fee and my dealer charged $50 to activate it all with the IDS. It usually takes from 10-30 seconds for commands to go through. Overall I'm very happy with it. I like I can lock it from anywhere if I'm not sure that I did. Plus it texts u in case of a security breach. Money well spent for me.

You would need the RMU and the VSS (links below). Since you have a factory rem start NO dealer visit is required. Once you get everything plugged in send me a PM and I will activate it for you at no additional charge.

There is a 50.00 annual fee for the service

Parts required:

http://www.levittownfordsupercenter....em-p-1882.html

Let us know if you have any questions,
-Benny

Hey Freddy,

You will need the RMU module http://www.levittownfordsupercenter....ss-p-2272.html (If you live in Canada you would need a different one) and you will need the VSS http://www.levittownfordsupercenter....em-p-1882.html

Before I can perform the RMU activation you will need to have your local dealer enable Remote Start using their IDS tool, This is usually a 1/2 hour labor charge sometimes less.

Once you get the IDS programming done send me a PM and we will get your RMU activated and completed.

Let me know if you have any questions!
-Benny

Hello,

If you are located with in the U.S you will need the following parts:
http://www.levittownfordsupercenter....em-p-1882.html
http://www.levittownfordsupercenter....ss-p-2272.html

These are both plug and play. After installation you will need to visit your local dealer for programming via the IDS tool.

Once thats done contact us and we will activate the system over the phone for you.

Please let us know if you have any questions,
-Benny

Sorry to ask this in this thread but I have a 2015 XLT Sport, which I believes comes with the Factory Remote Start already. I would only need the following, am I correct?

Remote Start System - DL3Z-19A390-B
http://www.levittownfordsupercenter....ss-p-3441.html

Vehicle Security System - FS7Z-19A361-A
http://www.levittownfordsupercenter....us-p-3410.html

Please let me know. I think I have everything right but want to be completely sure.
