Issue: Ford Remote Access app review

The Ford Remote Access app is available for both IPhone and Android users to control vehicle features. The app lets you remote start, remote stop, lock, unlock, audible car find, and there is even an optional feature to receive security notifications.

  • What, if any, are the costs associated?

But if it will work with the 100 series then I may go forward with it,,, of course always trying to find a way to hack that 72 hour deal!
This was my issue as well after all the research into this. The part# Danny supplied was completely different from anyone I had seen listed anywhere which gives me a little hope that it actually is plug-n-play compatible with factory 100 series remote start.

It's only taken many months and many more useless phone calls to dealerships to find more valuable information here!

Besides when you read anything in the manual they always Note things as warning,, so they would say,, setting the unit beyond the 72 hours may cause you vehicle battery to drain and not start. But I agree, it is what it is and we need to use it like it is! That is why I hack (if possible) most of everything I use or have so I can have it work the way I want it too... That's why I say it would be nice to be *user Friendly* which would give you more control. Still for most it will do everything and more than they want...
ha, I hear you and agree with you my friend.

That is the very reason I have a loc-pick behind my MFT nav system. I know there is inherant danger playing with settings while the truck is in motion however I want that option to choose.
I love being able to view my rear camera going down the highway at 80 mph. I like to see that my trailer and contents are safe and secure. Being able to search addresses, watch my Netflix (for my passenger of course) on my MFT while driving is valuable to me. I understand why Ford or NTHA blocks these features but give me the option to choose or a product to work around them.

Oh well, I'll change the things I can and accept the things I cannot change.
Take care and let me know if you ever find a workaround.

I confirmed with the Ebay dealer selling by giving him my VIN#. This was the part number he said would work on my truck.
I like you kept reading about additional security modules and this and that. Then I found a part number that was different and appeared to be a kit. So I called and confirmed with them before purchasing.
At least the person I bought from is also guaranteeing the successful programming via over the phone so what did I have to lose?
I would just email Zachary at All Star and confirm so you have no doubts.
Being he has the best price to boot that is the route I would go if I were you.

I'm with you and looked into it a little. By far the best option for factory remote access I've come across which is what I have been trying to accomplish since the beginning.

Only thing I found weird with the ebay site is that when I put in make/model it says a 2013 F150 isn't compatible. However, I agree a simple email/phone call will likely take care of that issue.

I wish there were employees of Ford that monitor the Forums, I bet they could answer these questions.

(oozing with sarcasm here)

I would contact Zachary as stated in earlier post. Regardless of year and what equipment we think our trucks have. Give him the VIN # and know unequivocally what you need and what will work.
Outside of that we are all just stumbling around to try and find the answer and understand what is possible with remote access.

I contact Zachary as well. Nice guy, got back to me right away and was willing to do some leg work for me. Even sent me a follow up while he was waiting to hear back from Ford so i didn't think he forgot about me.
