You got lucky in the fact that you were able to return it.........

Here is what the dealership is doing...

First I returned the F150 3.7 this morning. They ordered another F150 echo boost and this one is loaded with backup cam, trailer breaks, leather seats, electric rear window and a few other things that were not in the original purchase. All for the same price.

The truck will be here tomorrow and I will update you guys then. Crossing my fingers that there are no issues. My car was traded in and gone now. They gave me a loaner till tomorrow. I also went with the 5 year 75,000 mile warranty as well. Wish me luck guys and thanks for suggesting to call the manager. I didn't truly think of that until it was recommended here on the F150 forum site.

Just curious but what is the sticker price on both of the truck? You should be getting between 8000 to 10000 off msrp...

I would have to look that up when I am at the dealership. Tomorrow I am suppose to pick up the truck. Well... crossing fingers that is. It is coming from another dealer since my local dealer didn't have it in stock.

The one I am getting now is the F150 XLT Ecoboost Super Crew Cab - Leather - Cam backup system - Trailer brakes - Adjustable Gas/break pedal - Electric rear window and all electric of course and other.

I also opted with the 5 year 75,000 mile warranty. Mid $30,000 ish. We are located in Alabama and I have not seen a Ford f150 xlt ecoboost for $29,000 or so like some are stating on the forum.

How does one not know exactly what they are buying and drive it off the lot? I could understand thinking you were getting nav and then realizing your truck didn't have it when you got home but the wrong engine??! Anyways glad everything worked out for you.

What are the down sides of not having the Ecoboost? I won't be towing much. Sometimes I might tow up to 2 tons from time to time nothing major. But I have heard some have had issues with the Ecoboost. So I am not sure if I should be thanking my lucky stars or did I just make a $39,000 mistake?

The upside to the 3.7 V6 is that it is a FLEX FUEL motor. When E15 gas is everywhere (maybe soon) those ecoboost guys are gonna hate it. Us FLEX FUEL guys wont suffer any damage

People are saying that less people own the 3.7 and therefore less complaints about the engine. I must say that yes there are fewer of us 3.7 owners, but I really have no issues with my engine. It has a nice sound, good on fuel and flys when I want it to. No complaints about the engine here.

I like my 3.7. It gets good MPG's and will get up and go when needed.

What part of Alabama are you in? I walked into a dealership this weekend and let the salesman know I was just looking and asked him what he'll sell the truck for. He said about $8K off sticker without even going to check with anyone. That tells me there is PLENTY of meat left on that bone...
