Cycle For Fun and Health
Just got my new Snoway plow installed. I have been messing with it all day and no problem with the EPS or any electrical systems. Beefy plow but I liked the way the Western mounts on my 2010 were. The Snoway mounts hang a little low for my taste. Looks like a level kit or air bags are in my future, but is should push like a dozer!

Truck an plow look great! We would love to help you out with some spacers or our coilovers would be awesome with your plow set up. Hope we can earn your business.

Every plow manufacturer makes a plow for half ton trucks. EPAS will be standard on a lot of trucks in the near future so plow manufacturers will have to follow Snoway and build a plow that works.
The plow weighs 471lbs plus the mount, my Western HTS weighed 412 plus mounts so the Snoway definitely sags the truck a little more when raised, but not bad. Zero issues with the steering thus far, I will keep you posted when I plow more with it, but Snoway has been working on the F-150 since 2011. They even have an application for the Ecoboost.
My truck is definitely not a grocery getter. I plow, haul boats and pontoons all summer for work, pull a lawn trailer 1 day a week, and I heat with wood in the winter so I pull a 12ft dump trailer full of wood every weekend in the fall and winter. Ford half tons have more than got the job done for me.

You know, it's like trucks are sold with panties these days. They are built tougher, more powerful, and with better technology than ever before. And all a lot of people can carry on about is what they can't do. As for warranty, if someone isn't concerned about it, why should I worry about it for him. Trucks far less capable than modern trucks have pulled, hauled, and plowed for years. If they break, guys fix them. If they can't fix them, they get something else. I for one want to see how this works out for him. Push the limits!

You would be surprised at how many people mod or do something to the truck and then something breaks and they get pissed when it's not warrantied. I know you have to pay to play and if I mess up something I'll suck it up and fix it as it was my doing but there is a whole generation of folks that don't think that way.
You should look up threads about people's electric assist racks going out, you then find out they did this or that to the truck.
Also, these trucks are becoming more like SUVs and not tougher. Sure power is more and the payload numbers go up but trucks back in the day were way stronger and stout.

Electric power steering can fail just like a fluid power steering. The system should be robust enough to handle the axle rating of the front axle. If it's not, Ford has a problem.
I have a great dealer and do not expect any problems with service. If Ford declines warranty, I will expect to pay for it just like my other F150s I have plowed with that we're not in warranty. I have not experienced any problems with my last 2 trucks and almost 200,000 miles.
Erictheoracle, do you live in Duluth? I will be up there this weekend for the snow cross race.

As far as the slogan, we own work, Ford already uses that. If ford brags about it, the truck should hold up to a plow designed for it.
With all these claims, I don't know how anyone could be denied any warranty claim anyway that is work related!
