Default Ford to Discontinue F-150 Tremor - Already?

Just same across this on PowerNationTV.com

http://www.powernationtv.com/post/fo...r#.UtgG_r-baHc

I can understand this going away with the body change, but really?

Also mentions that there was no Raptor on display at one of the recent auto shows.

Not surprised...just a modified fx4...definitely a nice truck though. as far as the raptor...supposedly it'll be back for the 2016 MY...

Doesn't surprise me really. No doubt it was a cool truck but cost as much or more than a crew cab of the same truck.

Probably because they cost only a tiny bit less than a similarly equipped Crew Cab. If they had been priced in the sub $30,000 range like was originally rumored, they would sell well IMO. But who is going to pay over $40,000 for a regular cab truck when you can buy the exact same spec'd crew cab for the same money (or less after rebates and discounts)?

Sounds like you should be able to build it. It will just not have the graphics. With the slim downed models, the FX4 is a package now. And i'm shooting from the hip here, but I thought i seen there will be more cab and engine options in each model. For example you get a King Ranch with the FX4 package. I thought I had seen someone mention a Lariet in a Reg Cab. If you add the "sport" package you end up with the same truck minus graphics. Only time will tell though on what configurations are available to order.

I would think the price would make it a low volume seller. Coupled with that, like it's been said, it probably didn't cost Ford much to build. Basically a parts bin truck.

Should've given it the 6.2 with a blower and made it the next SVT Lightning. Then it would've sold for that price.

not surprised, but I already saw pictures of the 2015 Raptor, so they aren't discontinuing that model.. perhaps a 5.0 to replace the 6.2?
