Ford is about to lose a customer before I am one

I think the op is more unhappy with customer service than anything else. I mean, when you are custom ordering any commodity you would expect good communication on the status of your order. I would have no problem waiting as long as they were honest up front about delivery dates, and not keep pushing the date back. And if they aren't sure on delivery, I would at expect them to tell me up front. Dealers/ford should at least make an effort to send weekly updates to those who are custom ordering vehicles. When you're paying upwards of 30, 40, 50 thousand dollars for a new vehicle, you're paying for customer service as well, and I don't think that is too much to ask. In short, I understand what the op is saying. I however decided I couldn't wait so I bought off the lot.

You heard it from a salesman himself. Quality customer service does exist within the ford community, so its not too much to ask for some regular updates from your dealer.

I am frustrated by the fact that my build date keeps getting pushed back and nobody can explain why. Ford customer service says call the Dealer the Dealer doesn't know why it hasn't been built, or at least they say so. The zone manager was emailed to let him know I am up against a lease that is ending and does nothing.
If I was told my truck wouldn't be here until mid March you wouldn't here a peep out of me. But when I am told that it will be here the end of November early December and the date keeps changing every other week indicates to me that they don't really know what they are talking about. Not knowing is fine but if you don't know tell me you don't know!!!
The other fact that frustrates me is that I can find what I ordered they sit on lots, just not on lots in Ohio.
But anyway I thought this was a place you could vent without being bashed......I guess I was wrong

Order priority codes are numbers from 1 to 99 if I remember correctly. The lower the number, the higher the priority for that particular dealer.
1-9 are reserved for special cases. Dealers can use numbers 10 and above, with 10-19 being sold orders, and 20 and above being dealer stock. Once a dealers allocation is up, the sold orders (again, for that dealer), are pulled first.

Follow the instructions and the Ford employees will give you a status update.

I can't believe I read this whole thread. I find it hard to believe that there isn't one truck with in 500 miles that is what the OP is looking for. If I were the dealer I would give him his money back and wish him well. At this point nothing is going to make him happy and heaven forbid if there is any issues with said truck....well.... YOu see where this is going.....

I tried to order a 2011 F150 back in July but couldn't because of allocation issues. So I patiently waited until the order banks opened and I placed my order September 2. I found out today my eta has been pushed back to January 2, 17 weeks from when I placed the order! Given that everything is closed January 2 I don't believe it will be here by then.
As a life long fan of Ford and former employee the process I have had to go through to get my first F150 is discouraging, to the point that I am seriously considering canceling my order and going some where else where they value the customer.

I too feel for the OP, in my case I needed for my business a used 2009+ SCREW with 4x4 with 6.5 foot bed. I couldn't afford a 35K+ truck. Near impossible to find in that configuration in Florida. Took me 3 months of finding one. Good luck bud. Your patience will be rewarded!
