no - they mean power folding mirrors. High trim level trucks have the ability to fold them mirrors in using a switch rather than your hands. they are not referring to power adjust mirrors.

I think you need to buy a different set to work. Someone listed the part numbers from Tasca. The existing power adjust mirror lack an electric motor to actually fold in. you'll need to buy a new set of mirrors - looks to be around $700.

I want these as well. But i don't know if i $700 want them.

You need to buy the power fold mirrors & switch you do not need a relay. Install the mirrors & switch & then do the wiring as posted.

When you get to the drivers door find the same colored wires and pin #'s on the mirror connector ,and splice the 2 wires from the passenger side to the corresponding wires on the drivers door . At this time you will also need to pigtail a wire from the #7 wire to the # 6 wire on the switch which is a yellow/orange, and a wire from the # 16 to the #4 on the switch which is gray/brown.Wiring them this way will eliminate the need for the relay and a flash at the dealer, but will also eliminate the memory function. These instructions will work for you if you had power mirrors to begin with, and have the proper switch. I dont know about any other years or models, this applies to the 2010 , but it may be the same or similar for other years. Again Thanks to DONSMAR1 for the info !!
Okay, here's an update on my mirror install. First of all THANKS to Donsmar1 for all of his help in getting mine working properly, its guys like him that make these forums a great place for info and help. What we found out is this, not all wiring harnesses are the same on various f 150 models , they all seem to have different colors and may or may not have the necessary wires in place. what we know is that pin #7( power fold in ) and pin # 16 (power fold out ) are common on just about all of the ford mirrors. The plugs for my mirrors did not have any wires on these terminals so i ended up jamming a wire in the plug from behind to make contact with the pin on the mirror , i then siliconed it and tie wrapped it in place . The mirror switch plug on my truck did not have a wire on terminal #4 , so i had to repeat the silicone and tie wrap process there as well. It is very important to identify the terminals and make sure that they are wired correctly. I needed a magnifying glass to see the terminal numbers on all the plugs ( whether your an old buzzard like me or not you will probably need one ). I needed to run a wire from pin #7 and a wire from pin # 16 on the passenger door mirror plug to pins # 7 and # 16 on the drivers door mirror plug. From the # 7 wire on the drivers mirror plug ,i ran a wire to the # 6 wire on the mirror switch plug. from the # 16 wire i ran a wire to and inserted it in the # 4 terminal of the mirror switch plug because there was no wire there. Thats all it took to get my power folds working. Just rememeber, WIRE COLORS VARY SO GO BY THE PIN NUMBERS ON THE PLUGS.

I just completed the swap from tow mirrors to power fold on my 2011 Platinum with max tow. Do I need to replace the switch also?
Thanks

My first post as a new F150 owner. I've had it for only four weeks and can't believe how much information is out there for the taking. I used to have a Dodge Dakota and info is hard to come by in that world.

This is the best thread ever. Thanks donsmar1!
The mod works perfectly.

I'd be very interested in doing this as well.

The next guy that is planning on doing it would you mind taking some pictures to help a guy out. I get super confused when you start mixing number in there and going from this to the other.

I guess I just need to get under the dash and look at what you guys are talking about and I could probably figure this out.

Also, does anyone have before and after pics they could post?

I didn't take any pictures unfortunately.
It was a pretty easy job though.

FYI: Here are the part numbers I got for my 2011 to ensure I got the little convex mirror and all:

left BL3Z 17683-EA
right BL3Z 17682-EA
switch 7L1Z-17B676-AA

Those are the chrome capped Platinum edition mirrors... which look good on a chromed XLT. IMO it isn't over done like those chrome slip-on covers that cover the entire mirror shell.
This part would not look so good on an FX4

They look exactly the same as the factory installed mirrors aside from the little etching on the glass shows a small arrow and 'power fold' instead of a little heated mirror graphic. I could scrounge up before and after pics but you wouldn't notice a difference aside from the skull caps.
