check the last picture on post #27 page 3... it will show the panel between the top of the console and bottom of the dash below the lighter.

I think any of those would look good. I kinda like the red look to but since I did the custom seat covers, that brought some color to the interior... I like a little brightness on the inside compared to the dreary greys and blacks that the XLT came with.....

Nothing that a good cutting saw couldn't handle... it is tight and I had to buy a connector harness to connect to reach the cd control panel but other than that it just takes time.

Another member on here said he went without the clip and worked fine and seemed sturdy I will assess it once I am in there.
yeah I wouldn't bother if I were to do it again.... you will never notice it as the other clips really bite in and you can hardly remove it even without that clip

Only downside of this mod I see is the lady won't be able to slide over anymore.
Isn't that what back seats are for????

seat covers are still 100%! actually they are even better than when I first installed them as a couple of small wrinkles that I had when new have gone away! I love them and it was worth the wait and money!

BTW you say you did the projector headlights? I really think the stock headlights are pretty good but I have read that so many think they are bad!!! So after doing the mod what is your overall opinion on worth, looks and function? I know I am not interested in spending close to a grand to do the HID's but a couple hundred might be doable if you think it was worth it in the long run.

Worth it all day long in every category. I run a small side business doing it mostly for mustangs as I was driving a 2001 Gt when the endeavor began. Your in the ball park of the pricing my retrofits start at 900-1150 depending on the components used but if you wanted to do it on your own you'd be into it for almost half. If you can pull that console off you can do a retrofit.

My work is here www.facebook.com/yukeshidretrofits

If you ever want to tackle it and need parts I also sell kits

The 110 outlets are costly to get via factory so I just got a 25 dollar inverter and spliced into the outlet. it would cost about 250 to get the unit and you would also need the wiring harness... as mush as you will use it as for my use I didn't think it was worth it besides if the unit ever fails it only costs 25 bucks to get a new one... Now I would suggest you run it through a relay if you get a large watt supply inverter but for 300 or so watts you won't need to...
