First time in shop, so far so good!
Well after 480 days or 1 year, 3 months and 25 days I finally had to take my 3.5L F150 4X4 into the shop.
Had two issues:
1. AC quit working, it was blowing at 80+
2. Park brake would stick.
So when I bought the truck in in December of 2011 I was 100 miles from where I am now. I have a dealer 7 miles from my house so I would much rather take it there then where I bought it.
So I make an appointment (on the internet) tell them what is wrong and show up at my assigned time the following day. (NOTE: I also chose to have the 12k service done as well while the truck was in the shop.)
They diagnosed the problem as 0 PSI, back side of condenser rubbing against radiator causing leak. As far as the parking brake goes there was a TSB 12-2-3 and they replaced the cable.
They didn't have either part and had to order it, and kept the truck overnight. When I picked up the truck there was no charge. I expected the warranty items to be covered with "No Charge", but not the Works package covered, but because they had to keep my truck overnight they told me the service was on them. When I asked if they were sure, their comment was we want to win your business, and we feel the best way is to show you we take care of our customers even if they didn't buy their vehicle here. Besides when you look to buy a new vehicle we hope you consider us.
Wow! It got my attention. BTW everything was fixed perfect and my truck was clean when I got it back!
So what's your service story? Good, bad or neutral?

Glad you had a good experience, you mostly hear horror stories about dealers or repair shops in general, I have a few myself. But when you get service like that you really remember it. Glad it's all good!

My service department is very easy to get along with. But they couldn't figure out how to replace the front shocks as it required moving the coil spring tray to the new shock and they didn't know how to remove it from the OEM. I'll give them another shot at it at next oil change now that I've looked it up, or do it myself if I get a spring compressor.

Very good news indeed. Always nice to hear about great customer service.
BTW, the Wifey, and I will be traveling through Yukon in Sept. after a stop at the State Fair in OKC. Route 66 of course.
