Make sure you get the extended warranty on the muffler bearings.....money well spent.

Mobil 1 full synthetic 5w30 and oem aka motorcraft filter.

I've been changing my own and using the recommended oil and filter until the drive train warranty expires. That Motorcraft oil filter is the cheapest POS I've ever used on anything with an engine.

I had oil changed today with filter, 3100 miles. Ford says 7500 miles between` changes. I guess that is a benefit of synthetic oil.
It doesn't sound right though.

This is really funny, but would have ever thought we would have something called exhaust fluid? Never rule out what the future may hold.

You might be surprised how long some other vehicles go. I pulled the stick from my Audi the other day. After 9,000 miles on a 6 year old car with 90,000 miles total, and the oil on the stick still looked brand new. I've never gone LESS than 8K, and have gone as long as 12K before. Yes, it's a smaller car with a smaller engine, but I see no reason not to go 10K even on a V8 truck with high quality oil and filter. I'd probably shorten that to 7500 with an ecoboost.

I’m running whatever conventional 5w20 that meets the spec that’s cheap and a FL500 filter. I just got Supertech today. Of course I’m long past warranty.

Old Smokey, not sure if you're still on here (4 year old post) but I'm guessing you've never used a Fram or any of the other basic parts store filters. Because, according to some research, the Motorcraft is actually a pretty decent filter for what it is, a basic paper (cellulose) pleated filter. You didn't say what you're using in place of it.

Has anyone confirmed if this article: https://www.yourbestpicks.com/best-oil-filters-reviews/ is legit? Since I think dropping $21 for the Royal Purple is probably overkill for a normally driven vehicle like mine, I'm leaning towards the Purolator One. In a pack of four on Amazon it's only $2 more than the Motorcraft, and uses a blend of cellulose and synthetic media. Seems like the best of both worlds (performance and price) to me.
