I'm with Shortride, use the syn blend until 10k miles with short oil change intervals, and switch to your favorite synthetic. I'm running the Mobil 1 myself.

I'll go with the motorcraft synthetic blend. Thanks again for the help!

My dealer offers "free oil changes for life" with the purchase of any new vehicle. I'm mildly cautious of this though, think they are using recycled oil? Opinions on this?

Somewhere hidden in your purchase price was the "free oil changes for life."

And. it's just another technique to get you into the service department on a regular basis so they can upsell other services.

I'm sure the oil is new.

Yea, most likely the $200 window etch and $407 title/transfer fees... Lol everything else seemed pretty up front.

You didn't spring for the Lifetime Paint Sealant?

Or the free tire air purge. I use Mobil one and FL-500 filter.

Lol. Sure didn't.... Didn't buy the $2000 GAP Insurance/Extended warrantee or the $599 tire/wheel warrantee either.. LOL.. That's where they really make some $$. I wound up paying 39k for my loaded FX4 screw. Didn't come out too bad at all. In fact, it was a good enough deal for me to cancel my '15 XLT a Screw FX4!
