First BIG trip to test my '11 ecoscrew
Tomorrow morning I will be taking my first big trip which for me is over 500 miles round trip. I'll be heading from the Cali. valley to Portland, Oregon and then Seattle, WA., and then back down. Probably about 2500 miles after it's all said and done. I'm taking a week for this vacation (well deserved before work starts up again). On my previous trips of 500 miles or so, I was able to get 20.7mpg, give or take .5mpg and I'm hoping for at least the same on this trip fully loaded with 3 passengers and luggage. I've been looking at other peoples long trips and am hoping for the best! I'll keep you all posted and if you have any MUST SEE/DO things for me on my trip, it'd be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Boost :)
I did my first trip in mine over the holidays and went from Austin TX to San Diego and back. 4 adults, bed full of gear and luggage both ways, speed limit as high as 80 in some areas, still got just over 20mpg for the whole trip. 40+ hours of driving and never so much as got tight or sore in my back either which was very surprising. Nothing to worry about and enjoy your trip

Retired and loving it!
I saw over "670 miles to empty" after filling up on my last trip........the 36 gallon tank will outlast your bladder....maybe even the 26 gallon one will too.....
Seattle --- you've got to do Pike Street Market, Space Needle (optional), Waterfront and Pier walk with lunch at Ivars (Keep Clam!)......Downtown Seattle has some great bars and lunch places.
If you had more time, I'd definitely suggest the Olympic Rain Forest and highway 101 around that on the Washington Peninsula....its worth the drive and the most beautiful part of the entire US!

Took mine from Tx to Orlando in March. Probably averaged 80 mph, got about 18.5 mpg there and back. Chose to take it over the Camry becuase of the room and comfort. It was well worth the extra gas.

Hey CaScrew11
Here is my truck and a dash computer pic of my recent trip.
Memphis Tennessee to Biloxi Mississippi, round trip.. Highway
and Beach/Casino area there on a three day trip.
My Truck:
2012 FX2,5.0,3.55, Solid Fold Topper. XLT Chrome Grill.
I kept my RPMS under 1800@73MPH, That seems to be the
sweet spot for me. I drove over 80 for short periods when
passing..
Good Luk..........
