Default First 4x4 Truck... Maintenance Questions

Hey guys, I've been here awhile but I've previously had 4x2. So I understand the components and how these systems work. But the truck I bought was a 2013 with 60k on the clock. What would you guys recommend for preventative maintenance such as differential fluids, hubs, etc. Thanks for any input and help!

Just go with what the manual says. Pick quality fluids and keep track of when you need to change them.

Do you know when they were last changed? If not you could start fresh and establish a baseline.

No clue if they were. That's why I'm thinking of doing exactly that. Just changing them now so I know. I'm gonna say they haven't been since I changed the air filter and had breaks done as well.
Is changing the fluid a difficult task for a relative novice. I can do a few things but if I can cause more damage than good I avoid it lol

I personally do all my main tench at 80-100k intervals. Transmission + filter and rear end should definitely be changed. It's better for the mechanic to do these. I paid $150 each. I have several f150s with 13k all the way to 240k miles. Good luck!

Front diff is likely fine and so is rear. On,y issue could be if prior owner was a dummy and submerged rear diff in water launching boat or something. Then change rear fluid. Easy and under $50 in fluids (guessing as it's been awhile). It is messy tho. Lol.

Otherwise use 4x4 once a month or so, even on pavement is fine if you are going straight. That will help keep thing lubed and working.

I always change oil and filter on any used vehicle I buy, no matter what records are with it. At 60K change the air filter too.

On many you will see that the manual doesn't specify a FIRST change until well after 60,000 miles, some 100,000, some higher.

Great advice - refer to the manual and do anything that was required before you current mileage - but it's very little.

Thanks for the responses guys!
I've already got to use it out on some land we have and it just makes me feel so much more comfortable riding around. I'll probably look into changing the diff fluids since I have no clue what the last guy may have done
