The install isn't bad. I have mine mounted above my spare tire. I tapped into the 12v travel trailer charge circuit, saved me from pulling wires to the front of the truck.

No air ride here, yet.

But I just installed my compressor, tank, solenoid and regulator on the frame under the passenger side, between the running boards and the frame.

The horn is up front and the air chuck on the back, under the bumper.

I had an air horn, air tool system on my old F250 which had a long 5 gallon tank. Unfortunately, I didn't have the same space I needed to use the old air tank on my new F150 I salvaged the Viair compressor and solenoid from the old system and that's all I could transfer over to the F150.

I'm a "no drill" kinda guy when it comes attaching anything to the frame so I fabricated brackets that would support the tank, regulator, solenoid and compressor using existing holes in the box frame. I ordred a smaller 1.7 gallon tank that would fit where I wanted and had the ports on the ends.

Not wired or plumbed up yet but here is the equipment fabricated and mounted;

I am with you on the no drill kind of guy, very nice setup. I was looking into adding an air tank with my setup. Just trying to get some ideas from other setups

Not a whole lot of space under the vehicle to mount a decent size air tank that I could find.

Good luck!

X2

Barely room to mount a compressor underneath.

I cut down a piece of aluminum big enough to hold the components. Then mounted that vertically from the front box crossmember on the left side. Right behind the cab, up high and protected.
