Finally paid her off so I bought her new shoes!
Finally got the title in on the old girl. Just turned 72,000 miles and so far it’s been a great truck. The Open Country AT2’s we’re finally about worn out after 65,000 miles so I decided to treat the old girl to some new shoes and a bath to celebrate the payoff.
This time I decided to go with the Toyo Open Country RT’s in 285 60 20. They’re about 1” taller than the 285 55 20’s that were on it. I absolutely love the way these things look. It’s a much more aggressive look and although they are a little louder at highway speeds they’re not nearly as loud as a mud tire. I have a roof rack on order from Hammerhead Armor to go on next. I plan on rigging the truck up for some overland style camping complete with bed rack and roof top tent. Stay tuned.

Appreciate it WX. I’ve tried to take good care of it. Can’t wait until the roof rack comes in. I haven’t seen hardly any F150’s with roof racks. I think it’s gonna look pretty good.

I’ll definitely be posting pics. I’m gonna do a direct mount to the roof instead of mounting it to some other type of mounting system. I think that makes a cleaner look. I know some may have reservations about drilling holes in their roof and trust me I do too but I think it should be fine and will look much better. Plus it has mounts for cube lights and a light bar so I’ll have to drill to run wires anyway. Hey, she’s paid for.

Appreciate it Somd. I’m actually considering moving on from these wheels. I really like them but just trying to do a refresh on my rig. If I do change it will be to the Rotiform Six. Just can’t decide whether to do the bronze or matte black. I kinda want to do the bronze. Don’t see a ton of trucks with bronze wheels and I think it would look good on the white.
