Whip, I would be more than happy to help you with your truck if you made the drive up here. I have a nice big covered carport and garage to get out of the Texas sun and plenty of tools to work with. If you are ever up this way or seriously want to plan a trip for me to help you with install all I can say is bring it, honestly I wouldnt mind helping a Texan brother if I can.

#V1D1FBBB- SPST OFF/ON- Blue upper and lower LED. These LEDs are bright and consideration should be given on where you plan to install the switches as they might be a distraction at night. Not recommended for pillar or above the windshield switch panels.

im just curious as to how you hooked yours up so the led switch lights up when the truck is on and the leds turn off when the truck is off (on the switch not the rigid lights). thanks man

Fox, My switches from OTRATTW have 7 pins and 2 are dedicated for the lower led light, one positive and one negative as indicated a few post back in the diagram pic I posted.
I put an add a fuse in the passenger side footwell fuse box and ran the positive under the carpet to drivers side. Then I grounded to the chassis behind the switch. The positive I tapped into in the fuse box was the one the manual stated was for heated rear seats, which I do not have. Its an ACC/keyed source so now my lower LED in the switch only comes on when key is in and turned on. The LED light bar itself and the upper LED light on the switch are independent and can be turned on with no key. They are hooked to the Rigid harness and battery direct.
The add a fuse cost like $6.00 and I saw both AutoZone and O'Rileys carries them, they seem to be pretty common. This way I wasn't slicing into any factory wire but rather just plugging in the fuse with a positive wire lead coming off of it.

I can take a pic when I'm back in town, currently working in Kentucky until Thursday.

Also a comment in regards to switch location. Since I mounted my switches on the beveled part of the dash the switches and LED light indicators are barely noticeable when on. They are not facing me (the driver) they or sort of facing at a downward angle, you can see in my pics.
I did read on the OTRATTW sites if you buy an 18V switch verses a 12V switch it works the same in our 12V vehicles however the website says the LED indicator lights are 1/3 the brightness as a 12V switch. I don't have the 18V switched to confirm as my mounting location didn't warrant a need.
I actually prefer them to be pretty bright so I will notice if I accidentally left one on during the day when exiting the truck.
At night if I activate my brights ( turn on the SR light bar) or manually switch my switch the LED indicator lights do not distract me at all, they too far out of sight to be an annoyance but bright enough I can glance down and see they are lit, make sense? I think one of my pics in my garage show them illuminated if you need a better reference.
Hope this helps
Danny

I have an OTRATTW SPDT switch on order (model V6D2UHNB switch body) for my backup lights. http://www.otrattw.com/proddetail.php?prod=VVPZC77-58B

The SPDT switch will allow me to use a single rocker switch for either manually turning on the lights or having them come on automatically with my reverse lights.

For a front light application, a SPST ON-OFF switch would be fine.

Fox, that's a very nice, clean install for your switch. How did you cut on the panel to install the OTRATTW rocker switch? Did you make up a template and Dremel it out?

I have two OTRATTW rocker switches on their way here and I'll install them either in the same location as yours or where your red round switch is. I didn't order the panel as I prefer not to have the blank but it would have helped to mark where to trim the dash panel to the exactly dimension I'll need to cut.

Itat, just to clarify you can use a SPST switch to accomplish the same thing with your reverse lights. Both of my switches are SPST from ORATTW and both my reverse lights and SR light bar can be activated manually with the switch or automatically when putting my truck in reverse (for back-up lights) or clicking the brights on (front SR bar). By all means you can use a SPDT as well but wanted everyone to know its not necessary for this dual action function.

Also as a tip you can use a pencil and outline the switch's back square body against the panel as a templet. Then use a dremel with very small wheel to cut on the INSIDE of the traced line. Likely the switch will still not slide in but you can then lightly file the edges manually with a flat file to finally clear it enough to snap in. They have a small lip around them that covers the opening cut, its small but it is a lip so the line doesnt have to be surgical straight or smooth.
Practice on a piece of cardboard or plastic tupperware (dont tell the wife) to get a feel of how the dremel cuts and the switch fits, then tackle the truck dash, my humble advice anyway.

Thanks, Danny.

I'm installing both reverse lights and a backup camera (connected to my Pioneer HU) using this schematic that benchwarmer4203 provided for me.

Looks good to me!
The only thing I would add is to solder in a diode between your reverse triggers and switches.
You can buy them at Radio Shack and are safety measure to keep getting feedback into the trucks reverse wires you tie into.
So, if you flipped the switch manually it would open power to the relays to turn on the lights. But you want to also keep that power from tracing back to the automatic trigger wire you tapped into in the factory wiring.
I'm no electrical engineer so I dont completely understand all factors. I have just always read to use the one way diodes when getting a feed from a factory wire. The one way diode acts like a gate keep. Electricity only flows thru it one way. So it will trigger the switch but the switch cant trigger it.
For the $1.00 they cost I always use them just to be on the safe side.
Hope this makes sense.
Here is a pic of what I typically use including Diode.

hey man thanks, yea you can trace and dremel. like danny said go a little small cuz these switches don't have a ton of cover lip so it wont cover up if you make it a 1/4 inch to big. it was a real pain in the . but there is only one spot you can put a switch on that piece, if you pop it off you will see there is mounting tabs every where else. i wish i took a picture but i didn't sorry.

Does anyone have the wiring schematics to wire them into the fog lights? I want the duallys to come on at the same time as my fogs.
