Also planning a 20" for the bumper and 50" roof mounted one in the future as well!
Holy mother of god that's gonna be a lot of light!!
I bought a black billet grille insert for my truck but I love the 6 bar grille too much so I sold it on here. I think I might get a few D2's just for added light in the ditches. We will see tho. I'm going broke customizing this truck lol

PS - Just a refresher for the guys who haven't seen the pics I posted a while ago. Here's my set up. It's with the 6 bar grille obviously. It loses absolutely ZERO light output and is completely hidden under the grille.

They really stand out, and usually don't stand and stare.
So, comparing to the output vs price of HID headlights, how would you rate the Rigid add on lights vs HID's?

Fox, the ones to buy are SPST body's. They have 7 pins. 2 are used only for an ACC (key'd on hot) so the small led's in the switch are illuminated when you have the key in on position or truck running. The top bright led comes on if wired correctly when you flip your LED bar light on. If wired incorrectly it will still light your LED light bar but the switch LED will not illuminate.

Here is a pic of how I wired mine and it works as described.
If you upgrade to the new body switch to do a set up like your talking about I can help you get the wiring correct so it works like you want. A quick PM or phone call when you have the switch in hand and you will know exactly what to do, not a problem and I would be happy to help.

Logan, your set-up looks great. If I had the 6 bar I think I would have done exactly as you have. I agree you probably do not loose any measurable light.
Nice work my friend.

For my 2013 FX4 2 bar grille I prefer the LED bar more front and center verses hidden behind the grille.
Personal preference as they both look good and both work.
The beauty of each of us writing those monthly checks to Ford Motor Credit, we can modify our trucks how we each like them.
Cheers

Subscribing for future reference! Dannytexas, you have done some impressive work, my friend - WOW! Maybe I'll make the 3 hour drive up your way and see if I can talk you in to helping me do somewhat the same???? :-) BTW, both my wife and I love your plates! Ours is below - along the same lines of thought.

Default My 20" 40 LED bar setup

My setup is not extravagant as some and they are not Rigid . For those of you all who have installed the LED bars and those who would like to get some please let me know how it looks. I had installed (2) 8" offroad lights behind the billet grille didn't like those at all. I wanted to get 30" bar or even 40" but couldn't see spending that much and not know how the light output would be. After having the 24" I would defiantly get one, maybe in the (near) future .

My bar came in

I wanted it up high for 2 reasons not as easy to be stolen and have a good light output.

Had to move the horn down since it was in the way.

The bar is solid

Final look

yea that's the switch i have. it has 5 actual terminals on the back, 3 hook up to the light harness and the other 2 to grounds? this is the part #.
#V1D1FBBB- SPST OFF/ON- Blue upper and lower LED. These LEDs are bright and consideration should be given on where you plan to install the switches as they might be a distraction at night. Not recommended for pillar or above the windshield switch panels.

im just curious as to how you hooked yours up so the led switch lights up when the truck is on and the leds turn off when the truck is off (on the switch not the rigid lights). thanks man
