I know what you mean about the wires being a little short. I had to extend mine quite a bit.

Very nicely done. Do you notice any hindrance to the performance with the lights set into the bumper hole? I am looking at a set of D2 with the wide pattern. Hopefully setting them in the bumper will not decrease their side-to-side light path.

FWIW, I just received the amber colored covers and they do not cut down on light output at all! I now have the best of both worlds, nice clean white for most conditions then just slap on the amber covers when things are expected to get bad!

Once again, I can't believe how much these lights throw, I couldn't imagine the D2's! lol

So what was there to modify so that I know what I am up against?

I bought the driving lights. I was worried about that also, if mounting them recessed in the lower opening in the bumper would hinder the throw of the light. Fortunately it does not. The lights cover a wider distance than my regular headlights and brights and also shoot at least 25' up in the air. I have them set up such that they hit the pavement 4' in front of the truck and they cover a tremendous amount of distance both horizontally and vertically. I don't think you will have any issues with floods mounted there.

Again, I can't get over how bright these lights are and the ease of installation. By far one of the best mods I've put on any truck. Now to the deer lease for the weekend.
