Thanks it was just a change tray I never used and it's really not that out of the way to see while looking at the rear view mirror. I still need to clean up the double sided tape on the edges and for $40. It's complete.

How did you wire the ipod as a monitor?

Didn't have to buy an adapter for the rca cord. had just enough to fit with about 3 inches to spare.
Where did you get that camera from? Looks good man

It was an eBay grab. Think it was $14 from china so it took about 2 weeks to get here but I wasn't in a rush so it was worth it to pay less

You actually do not need to cut behind the dash if you take the backing off the lcd. Just a heads up for people in the future!

All my pics look identical to yours, lol. I do have a question though. I've noticed that every time I put the truck in reverse for the first time after it has been running, the picture quality is horrible. So I shift out of reverse to power off, then back to reverse to power back on. Then it looks perfect and the quality is very clear and crisp. I have to do this every time I need to use the monitor. Have you experienced this and what do you think the problem is?

Weird. I have had no issues like that whatsoever. Wish I could give you some insight.

Try turning your truck 'On' only, not started and shift into reverse to see if same thing happens. Just wondering if same thing without engine running.

BTW, are you using I/P 1 or I/P 2 on your monitor???

For the record, I don't have that problem either. Not sure what would cause that. Good luck. If nothing works, maybe consider buying another monitor, or trying to return the one you bought for another. Maybe he'll do a swap for you, or at least give you 50% credit.

Anyone try a Front View Cam? Was thinking of getting a Ford Emblem with the built in cam like I have in the rear and put one up front.
