Finally bought a new truck
The last F150 I had was a 1986 Long Bed with the granny low 4 speed. Vinyl bench seat and we added A/C, a cassette radio, rear bumper for towing, etc. I just purchased a 2014 white XLT Screw with the 5.0. It's a 2wd with the locking 3.55 because I just couldn't justify the cost of the 4x4 when I really won't need it 99.9% of the time.
WOW, what a difference 28 years makes in a truck! I did spring for the adobe leather and HID package which looks great! Because I couldn't commit to a color, I went with a basic white because it leaves me so many options for the future. This truck doesn't even come close to comparing with most of the trucks I see on here, but this is what we could afford and it's a pretty nice truck.
I live in Middle Tennessee, but I purchased it from Ryan's Ford in Sealy, TX. It was a very pleasant experience working with these folks. Curtis Markland was very easy to work with. They even flew up here and personally delivered this truck to my house.
My plans are to put some sort of bed liner in the bed. Then tint the front windows to match the back. After that, I would like to level it up. I'm not sure if bringing up the front end with the stock 18" tires would look right, but I don't really like the back end sticking up so high. I don't plan on replacing wheels and tires until necessary.
Well, here's a picture of her (she has no name yet):

Nice truck! I loved my 89 F-250 from years ago, but they sure have taken some leaps and bounds as far as comfort and power go with the new F-150s.

Nice XLT! Good lookin rig... I was going to go with a 2wd, but my dealer couldn't locate a 2wd configured like I wanted! So They sold me the 4X4 for the price of the 2wd!
