It wasn't all that bad, about 20 mins a side. My own fault, I did not use my airgun or screw gun, only a ratchet. If ya did this for a living, you can bang one out in ten minutes, with a screw gun.
I jacked up the body so there was definitely no need to take the tire off. Plenty of room.
I do know it's late,, looking and driving will have to wait till morning.
Anyways these things are a piece of cake to install.

just did mine today too. they were in my back seat for over a week. it got up to 70 degrees here today so i took them out and let them sit for about an hour in the sun. that helped a ton! un-bolted the bolts, bend the liner in place and bolt it all back up. took me about 30mins for both sides.

Yeah, took me about 30 minutes first side, then about 15 other side as you can figure how to manipulate it under the lip. There isn't really any reason to take the wheels off other as there is plenty of room to get it in.

I had mine installed when I bought my 2013 lariat 4x4 Off Road package. Upon further inspection of the front wheel wells there is a huge open space. My understanding ford did install at one time of front type of wheel well liner / cover. Someone install rubber cover from this forum and I did the same. Doesn't affect cooling or warranty. Put them on within a week of getting my truck. At my first oil change at 1000 miles the service manager and technician thought it was factory installed. I have picture enclosed.

That seems like a great idea. I'm thinking of also putting some stiff plastic guards at the front edge, to protect the fog light wiring & receptacle.

I took the wheels off as I was doing other stuff at the same time- Undercoating and putting on mud flaps. Ford really went cheap not putting the liners in as standard equipment. What's next, optional gas tank?

Ford definitely puzzles me at times. Wheel well covers front and rear should be a stand and on a TRUCK! They didn't include a grab handle on I think 2010 to 2014 on drivers side. A lot of good common sense ideas to improve and fix our trucks in this forum.

I had about the same experience, went real quick with the OE ford rear liners. I love the look! Got mine mostly because I was tired of the small dings protruding out from the inside of the body panels when small rocks get flung up between the body panels and bounce around.

My 05 had several, so I watched for them on my 12 and sure enough after only 28K I found several while detailing the truck a few weeks ago. Around here they like to resurface roads with tar and an overcoat of rocks pressed into the tar and existing asphalt on a hot day... It's a mess.

I did mine for the rocks but also for not seeing the white underbody. I think my black wheels will really stand out now and flow a lot better than before.

btw, got mine from tesca ford for cheap. my local ford has them for almost the same price but I saved about $15 total by going through tesca. sometimes my local ford dealer has Saturday sale specials on their parts. usually 10% off which would have been good for this purchase had I waited a few weeks.
