Do you and your truck a favour and stuff that sub with poly-fil. I just did it and wow. Definitely sounds louder and more full rather than hollow, and the bass is a huge improvement. For the couch change that this mod costs just do it. Only problem I can see is loving this so much i'll blow a speaker or two. But then thats just an excuse to upgrade those too! Took me 10 minutes, super easy, I used this thread from another forum http://www.f150ecoboost.net/forum/19...ow-w-pics.html And im now considering taking the sub back out and jamming more in. Apparently you're not supposed to over fill it so I may wait for more info on that one. I have a 120z bag and have maybe used 1/4

good and cheap mod to somewhat help the sub. I don't have the FX4 yet but has anyone attempted to re-do the sub system and replace it with their own? Is the stock amp connected to the plastic enclosure? I would like to make my own box and slim sub but don't know if it will connect as easy or wires would need to be spliced?

I may end up just getting an amp and buying component speakers for the doors along with hooking it up to the amp so the stock sub may just be thrown out unles i'm able to replace it with my own?

Tux, grab an old pillow you have around the house if you have one. It's the same stuffing you'll buy at Wally World, and it will save you gas/time to ride there. Takes about 10 minutes tops to do the job.

Finished. Done. Took 5mins and $3.99

I don't notice a difference much but who can argue with a mod this easy and cheap!

I'll need to ride around a little longer to see if I can hear the bass better.

I agree, I did mine shortly after I bought my truck. Never really noticed a difference, good or bad. But for $3 it was a easy mod that could only help.

Kind of depends on what you listen to. I'm pretty musically diverse, I listen to rap then go to country and so on. Extremely weird I know. Anyway country doesn't really sound different, however with rap and more bass it's definitely noticeable.

Yeah I listen to country. Was wondering if that was the reason.
