So I finally got around to installing some stuff I've ordered for my truck. Between last weekend and this one, it's been fun. Here's the list of stuff I've purchased recently and or done.

1.) Stereo Upgrade. 1- Rockford Fosgate 500.1 mono block amp, 1- 300x4 channel amp, 2- RF 1683- 3 way 6x8's, 1- PAC-FRD24, Dynamat X-Treme, 1- RF p3 shallow mount 2 ohm woofer,
1- custom made box by my buddy Kevin and I. The box is not done, and I'm going to probably fiberglass a bit of it to get the smooth round edges on the passenger side where you step in and cover it in leather. Overall, for round 1 it's a good trial fit. Should be finishing in the next few weekends.

2.) Custom Exhaust- 22" Magnaflow with resonator section removed and cut right before the factory flange so it's a full 3" from there back, and it goes into a 3" flex pipe and then the 22" Magnaflow si/so to the stock 3" tailpipe section. I think it sounds pretty dang good and has no fart can sound that many people are afraid of getting with the ecoboost motor. It has ZERO drone at HW speeds and has a nice deep rumble at idle, and a mellow tone at partial throttle and a nice grunt at full-throttle. I'll try and post a vid as this thread progresses.

3.) HuskyShield Headlight Guards

4.) Rugged Liner wheel well liners.

5.) I ordered a Porter Cable 7424-XP, and some other goodies like grit guards, pinnacle product and Collinite! Should be here on Monday! Can't wait to detail the truck and put in the wheel well liners!
I'll post pics of what I have at the moment and will give more pics later when it's all washed up and waxed and as I finish everything. Thanks for viewing and now finally, here's some pics.

Thanks Todd! The only tricks I know of are to remove the head-rest and I used a thin tie that had a loop on the end of it. I looped it in the little piece that sticks out and is attached to the seat and bit the back walk bracket and yanked up slightly and heard it unlock. Then unfold the seat and the back will follow. The trickier part was getting it to lock back in place, but just play with it and move the bar up and down that id a part if the piece attached to the back wall a bit and it will lock into place. I was able to get it to lock back in with the seat folded down and folded up, if that helps when you do it. :-)

What was the point of installing that dynamat like that? You pretty much wasted money with that install

It was completely pointless lol, inside of the door and cover the entire frame of that door is how it's properly done

Interesting? This doesn't seem right considering I spoke with a Dynamat CS person who said if I covered 3/4 of the material, that I would be completely covered and that it was fine to cut into strips. There were far too many things in the way to put big strips. However on the back wall, I was able to use almost whole pieces while minimally trimming. Anyhow, it sounds great so far without an amp to the RF 6x8's and the doors have a much better sound to them when they close as well (if that makes sense) and there seems to less flex on the front door skins when you close the door. So, IMO, not A waste at all. Thanks for the feedback, as I was looking forward to everyone's comments. :-)

When I worked at a Stereo shop (Competition Soundworks) in the late 90's we cut the Dynamat into pieces if the customer didn't want to purchase a whole bunch of it. As CaScrew mentioned, the Dynamat reps said it would be fine to do it that way. No major difference at all doing it that way. We had competition cars take numerous sound Q awards with it pieced up.

Looking good CaScrew, I'm just not that much into stereo mods anymore, probably burnt out from all those early years.
