Seems they're also available in 285/75/17, research is supposed to make decisions easier not harder.

Yes, there are larger sizes, but once you go past 285/70 you lose the ability to buy a P rated version which is what our trucks come with. So the 315/70 and 285/75 sizes are LT rated and they are HEAVY...close to or above 70 lbs. each. You can kiss your fuel economy, braking, and acceleration goodbye.

I had a 315/70/17 Duratracs on for a while and with the ecoboost it ran like crap. Literally a 2-3 second lag time in acceleration. Went to a 275/60/20 and it ran like a champ again. I'm going to go to a 275/65/20 or 285/65/20 at some point, but I'm going to buy a tuner first to be able to account for the bigger tires.

Those are the lightest 315/70/17 on the market @ 61 lbs.

They may be the lightest but the 35" tire with my gearing made it run like a tired dog.

To the guys talking about change in mpgs: Are you calculating for speedo error? I see some saying a loss of x.x mpgs but don't know if you are comparing to the same size tire...

I think that's the point. Any other 35 would be worse.

haven't had mine in snow yet. But they're great in cold wet weather.
