I was told this had to be installed by the dealership as they have to flash the truck? So I can't say for sure what the instructions were like. My local dealership matched that price from the website and the rest I paid was install. So I think it was around $60 in labor not bad IMO considering they cut the keys also.
The stx doesn't have that screen like the raptor does, I just have a basic INFO screen that allows you to turn on and off the function. I wish I could make it 15minutes...that's the only drawback again IMO.
It was important to me to have the Factory key/remote combo I didn't want an extra remote which is why I didn't go aftermarket.

You can use oem keys to controll aftermarket R.S. it just has to be Programmed like your new keys did!

I recommend this one if you don't mind an extra fob on your key chain. http://accessories.ford.com/kit-remo...ter-10684.html
You get a heck of a lot more range out of it.
Have it in my truck and love it.

I like the customizability of my factory remote start. But I hate the limited range, half the time you can't even start it from inside a restaurant. I had a viper remote start on my last truck and I could start it from a mile away (actually did) and then it had an LCD thatttools me the time it had been running.

How much did it cost you to get installed? I went with a 2 way aftermarket remote for my truck for the same price as the one you linked, rather than stock..

You have to put the key in the ignition. On any remote start I've ever had, as soon as you touch the brake it turns the vehicle off. Which in turn prevents a would be thief from being able to hop in and drive away without a key.

My setup requires the key to be put in the ignition before the truck can be driven and also for the radio to come on.
I paid $349 out the door Kit plus install...already had the hood switch.
It's very easy to see if you have the hood switch or not...Just pop your hood.
