You made a few mistakes lol. Is my punctuation and grammar always perfect? No. Do I shorthand my texts to friends? Definitely. However, professional communication should adhere to basic laws of grammar, punctuation, spelling, etc. I'm 23 years old. I've been using computers all my life and been texting on my phone constantly since I got one at the age of sixteen. However, I can still write professionally. It's just a pet peeve of mine

The only thing I see is that a ";" would be better used in this sentence, "You know I see that a lot these days[;] it seems that professionalism has been lost in electronic communication."

You asked....

Sorry but I have done a lot of searching over the past few weeks, so I can find trucks better then most dealers at this point. If its in the country, I'd bet I can find it...Sad I know!

There are so many laws that encompass the English language, and it is very difficult to always follow the law to the "T". You can always find something wrong no matter how talented the writer is. That's why professional writers have multiple editors!!!

jjm,

try the website http://yourupstateford.com/ search the new inventory, it will list all the dealers near to your zip. Also, Google, western pennsylvania ford dealers and see if you get a similiar site.

It is tedious, but you may find your truck. Since you want an FX4 w/ leather, you can skip any truck that doesn't have black interior listed.

Also on Autotrader.com you can search for a new truck, but you are limited with the parameters, color, 4 door, as a keyword use SuperCrew. It will search all dealers for "Black Supercrew". Once I got the results, I went to the dealer site and pulled up the window sticker.

Remember in NY you need the CA Emissions for the truck. If it doesn't list "California Emissions System" on the window sticker, keep looking.

Good luck.

FWIW, not all dealers do this. When I was ordering, Dealer A said they couldn't guarantee any rebates/incentives and they could only do what was applicable at time of delivery. Smelled like BS to me and Dealer B said they would do price protection just like you said. I called Dealer C and they agreed with A.

I asked Dealer B to order me one. Dealer A ordered one too and said they'd call me when it got in because they didn't think Dealer B would be able to stick to their word. Still waiting for that call.

After closing the deal and picking up my nice shiny new truck from Dealer B, I asked him and he said the other places were just being lazy or ignorant and that this program has been around quite some time.

I was in the same boat as jjm. I wanted a very specific truck and went to all the local dealers and didn't find what I wanted. Two dealers were willing to try and locate one but their searches were never the same as what I asked for (go figure). Anyway, getting frustrated ( and knowing I couldn't order one due to the shortage of nav systems) I called Ford customer care for help with the search and they found the exact truck I wanted, gave me the vin and the dealer that had it. I contacted that dealer, they gave me a fantastic price and I'm picking the truck up Saturday. The only downside is that it's a bit of a haul to get it. Oh well, I get to drive my new truck home
BTW: Ford customer care was awesome to deal with, very helpful.
