I have a 2010 I would like to upgrade from my sync 6 disc to the OEM navigation unit, I did this on both of my old silverados, however has anyone attempted this or know what all is entailed?? I have the option to buy one with the antenna and so forth, but hopefully some of the audio guys will chime in.

 

It can be done but is easier with an 08 or older Nav unit. The factory nav integrates temperature, back up camera, etc into the display. As an after market solution you'll still have the top screen for that info which on factory unit's that's a blank area.

I know you don't want to hear it but at this point you best (and cheapest) route is aftermarket..
