The only ones they sell painted are the Platinum ones with chrome handle and painted bezel. But none that are all painted.

+1 on getting the keypad working! They really stuck it to me on the price, ($215) but I really wanted it done & Ken Wilson Ford was the only place around that would even talk to me about it without giving me the, "it might mess up your BCM" baloney. Thanks again to all that figured the code out & made it available.

For those with keypads the block is this BCM 726-15-01 0001 0101 46. That is all that needs to be changed. It is the same on super duty's as well. Should work on 11 and 12's. Enjoy!
Can u tell me if these trucks are prewired for the factory keypad, and if you can, can you email me the directions on how to change the numbers in the BCM so I can show my buddy that works at my local dealership how and what to do to activate the keypad. Thanks! My email is wbarrettclark@yahoo.com

Can you tell me if all trucks are wired for the factory keypad to be hooked up?

Barrett,
You have the instructions in my quote. I believe all trucks with power locks and windows have that plug. You can always remove the door panel and look. It will have a grey shorting plug attached leading to nothing. Depending on the year model 09-and above should be right.

Ok! Thanks for the info. I'm gonna take the door panel off this afternoon and look for it. I printed off the instructions that you had in your quote and emailed them to my buddy that works at my local dealership for him to look over. I have had the factory remote start & brake controller put in also. He should be able to do this for me also!

Default BARRET Read!

You have to download your spec sheet from motorcraftservice.com. This sheet WILL NOT have your remote start and brake module values added. When your tech guy adds the door values and flashes your truck he then needs to reactivate your brake module and remote start. Those are easy as the IDS sees them as common add-on features with a check box. The previous version of IDS allowed for the keypad to be added via check box instead of reprograming the build data. There are some dealers that will say you may brick the system by doing this putting in a bad value. The IDS will simply reject value and you have to re-enter it. I am not a Ford Tech. I have taken the time to learn with a Ford Tech through trial and error on the IDS. The whole thing should take 20-30 mins including adding the remote start and Brake module. I did the exact thing you did on a 11 XLT SCREW.
