Will this keypad not work?

So this will work? Cuz if it does, I'm definitely getting it. It would be so much easier having this so I could leave my keys in the truck while I'm at the beach instead of having to worry about someone coming by and stealing it while I'm in the water lol

It can be done, the hard part is finding a dealer willing to send the time to find another truck with the same options but with the keypad. With the VIN of this like truck you can stuff the as-built data into the SJB. A guy I work with did it to his 2011 XLT. So far so good. I believe this has been covered before. Do some searching and you find some more info.

Have any pictures of the keypad inside the handle? I think I'd be interested in doing something like that so any instructions would be appreciated

I have the stick on keypad. Works great. I stuck mine vertical on the black part on the door (part of the mirror). I find it hard to believe you can't change the battery.

No this can't be done. Another person who has no idea. Let me guess you are a ford tech? Im sure you are aware that EVERY truck has different DNA (IE calibrations) even if the truck has the exact same options down to the tires the calibrations ID's are different. You can transplant that info into another trucks GEM but you will run into numerous other issues, some that can be seen such as other options that don't work and some you can't as in modules that can't be diagnosed via ids or other ids related issues. I have seen it first hand and have done this, it does not work and dealers will not do it. But hey what do I and Ford tech line know!

To the OP, yes that add on keypad will work just fine. As long as you have key fobs (remote keyless entry) it will work. shoot me a pm with your email and Ill shoot you the pics of the custom door handle I created with the stick on key pad
