So this will work? Cuz if it does, I'm definitely getting it. It would be so much easier having this so I could leave my keys in the truck while I'm at the beach instead of having to worry about someone coming by and stealing it while I'm in the water lol

It can be done, the hard part is finding a dealer willing to send the time to find another truck with the same options but with the keypad. With the VIN of this like truck you can stuff the as-built data into the SJB. A guy I work with did it to his 2011 XLT. So far so good. I believe this has been covered before. Do some searching and you find some more info.

The battery will last a long time. Yes you can replace the battery. You have to pop off the black shell then get inside of it. Not hard. I did it when I made a custom door handle with the stick on pad inserted inside the actual door handle.

To the OP, yes that add on keypad will work just fine. As long as you have key fobs (remote keyless entry) it will work. shoot me a pm with your email and Ill shoot you the pics of the custom door handle I created with the stick on key pad
