Default fact or just good tail winds

This past monday (yesterday)
I clicked over 10,000 miles on the eb
i was running 75 on sh hwy 31 between corriscanna and waco texas
any whoooooo
my instant mpg was reading 17.2.....and my trip thingy showed 17.5 avg since i reset it when i filled up on friday morning

so i selected back to the last five minutes and proceeded to ingore the display.
I bit of time went by and speed was still 75-76 and i noticed i know had 18 mpg in the last five minutes bar graph.

i arrived in waco and dropped off the package ( grandchild) and turned back towards home
i still had over 2/3rd tank and ran up to 75-76 and drove.
i kept eyeballing the instant mpg and it kept climbing until it reach 18.8

a few speed drops through some towns and i was back on hwy 19 north.
again 76-77 now.......
instant held firm at 18.8- 18.9...once 19
today we ran up to bonham with road speeds in the 76 mph range and some in the 70's and some at 60

still holding 18.9
stopped at our favorite fuel station after driving 601 miles with 87 octane no ethanol fuel(3.79), my best tank full so far(18.2 mpg) if we do the math..but with the no fill to neck rule, i am not sure if i put in what was actually used or vice versa
after fill up 32.9 gallons it told me we could go 624 miles to empty (18.9) if math it out....
so does the eb magically trim out the fuel burn at 10k miles? or was the tail wind follwing me all over the north east parts of texas?
i have a 3.55 rear gear set and yes its 4wd, i use cruise all the time

I got great fuel economy when I had my Ecoboost as long as I stayed around 55-60 MPH. Once I got onto the boost, she drank the fuel.

Thank you for your service

I am trying to pay attention to my mileage since joining the forums and watch driving habits, my Tremor seems to enjoy the spirited driving without impact to mpg, still early but we will see.

Another factor which you may not be considering - Summer blend fuel is back! (Well its legally required to be back by May 1)

Being in texas, I would wager that you get the summer blend first.

I notice 2-4mpg gains when summer fuel is back, as mentioned above. It also helps that I'm not warming up the truck for 10 minutes every morning too, I suppose.

My commute twice a week is 100 miles up and down the Thruway here in NY. Always use cruise and was getting 17.5-19 during the winter and now am up to 19.5-21. Once I merge onto the highway I set the cruise and then reset the MPGs and have over 12k miles using this method since October. ECO, 3.55, stock SR-As, and almost always a full tank of gas. I'm pleased with these results.

i think your mpg #'s are good...and consistent.

i have a 5.0 and i'm getting an average of 18mpg commuting to work (75% highway)
