F150Lifts UCA's - Billet, Adjustable???

With our F150Lifts truck being customized, New Wicked White Boss Coilovers, New T-Rex Torch Grill, New DropStar wheels, New Toyo 35's, New Graphic Package, .....We went looking for a set of Icon Billet Upper Control Arms. Well, they make them for the Raptor but unfortunately.... do NOT make them for the regular F150. We asked Icon if they had any plans to make them for the F150 guys. Answer was: No. Hmmmm, Ok. We love our steel tubular Icon uni-ball UCA's, but the billet fully adjustable ones just make us get all happy...and Filippa says she wants some billet UCA's to show off on the display table also! LOL!

So, I was sketching last night and on the phone with our machine shop. Can't say for sure, but we are gonna get in the box and take a swing. "You cannot hit the ball unless you swing". Right?

It aides in Caster/Camber adjustments especially on lifted trucks. You can dial it right in where your alignment is at it's optimum. And they are just darn cool! All Uni-ball aftermarket arms: added strength, re-align ball joint with uni-ball assembly.

What would be the maximum amount of travel for these? and do they make a lower one or would it interfere with the output shafts on 4x4? I haven't seen these before.
EDIT** I would definately have to trust the alignment tech to get these true forward to aft. Seems like they could possibly be put in a bind if somebody didn't adjust them properly.

I only have a pencil drawing/sketch....this isn't a reality yet. Meetings next week to dicuss more. I have no idea of any measurements...I was just sharing a "possibility".

Seems, cool. But for the $650-1000 that current options cost I could replace and align the stockers 3 or 4 times. Is it really worth it? Maybe for guys that are doing raptor conversions?

Ain't those Purty!
If you happen to be taking suggestions or looking for a wish list at this point listed below are what I would love to see included with whatever design you come up with:
1. Definitely use a good quality Teflon lined stainless spherical bearing for the body side mounting point. No Urethane/Poly or Derlin bushings!
2. Ideally the UCA will be low profile enough or at least use an angle of approach low profile enough where it attaches to the spindle to accept backspacing up to and including factory wheels (ie..6" if possible)
3. Use the biggest bearing possible that does not require any drilling out of the spindles.
4. Use non proprietary bearings and joints that can be obtained "off the shelf" so the user can easily rebuild them if and when the time comes to do so. I would never wish bad things for your organization but if for some reason you decide to close up shop this becomes a big deal. No one wants to be left with a throw away part that could have otherwise been rebuilt if the parts were available to do so.
5. Consider a Non-Billet version that includes all the above. In doing so you may find a much larger customer base that is interested in buying.
Good luck, I'll be watching this thread closely

Most upgrades are worth it .....
Most of these type upgrades are definitely worth doing if you can afford it , For instance yes these will be expensive but you'll only do it one time for the life of your truck , who wants to do this 3 or 4 times over the life of your truck .... There is a lot of work that goes into the billet aluminum products not to mention they look 100% better than the tubular UCA's .... Surprised nobody makes an LCA like the Raptor for a regular f150 those are cool IMO .... Aftermarket parts are almost always better than OEM if you can afford them by all means take advantage of whats out there , F150 Lifts is IMO the best of all suspension lift companies continually doing work and bring new products to market that improve our f150s .... after looking around at other places pricing I have found them to actually have the best prices on most things they sell ....Just wish I could afford to buy some of their stuff ..... for now I can't afford much , all I can do is give them props for being great innovator's selling great products for our trucks ....
