Hey Guys. Your opinions please, as we want to do the right thing here. So the Winner says he is not going gift the winning Ultimate Kit to his Dad and he doesn't want it and wants to sell the kit to someone on the forum. This idea of selling the kit after winning it never crossed our minds and was not our intention in any shape or form. We wanted someone to win the kit and be thrilled, not win the kit and profit from selling it. F150lifts had a meeting about this afternoon and is still meeting about this, we just don't feel right about it. It was mentioned to refund the winning ticket holder his entry $ and pick a new winner that wants the Kit??? We want to be fair. What do you guys think???

I would say refund his ticket then pull another out of the "hat". I was wondering if this would ever happen. It's completely up to the winner and the F150Lifts business what they are able to do. I'd hate to see them sold as you have already received enough from the ticket sales for a full set. Seems like people might think you were double dipping on one set of a lift kit.

EDIT*I'd be willing to pay the extra $20 to cover the difference of his ticket.

My vote is to draw again from the group that went in on this raffle.

I don't know how you would handle this in this situation, as you guys did not add the disclaimer of not being allowed to sell the prize after the draw. Is it shady as **** (excuse my language)? Yes. But does it specifically violate the rules of the raffle or just doesn't sit right with you guys? I'd be all for refunding his ticket and picking a new winner, but that's me. I didn't even enter this time because I missed the sale of the tickets by a couple hours because of work.

IMHO, discuss this within your company and the winner. That's all this is between. If it comes to doing another draw, we'll all be stoked, but in the end, this is a risk of a raffle without restrictions of what the winner can do with the prize.

Refund the ticket cost and pick someone who actually wants to install it would seem logical to me. Or offer the same monetary amount in other f150lifts products? I could see the other side of it that he won the kit fair and square but come on man, obviously the idea is to get the kit to someone who wants it, not wants to turn a profit. Always someone around to ruin a good thing. I guess for the next raffle you gotta add in "this is for those looking to INSTALL the kit" in the fine print.

If he says no to the refund/repull get the pitch forks, he will be the black sheep of the forum.

OK I simply asked the question. This really did not need to turn into all of this. My dad informed me he was going with a coilover bds kit so there goes my gift. I am taking the kit and putting it on my 12 (sold my 06). Not trying to be shady sorry if that's the way it came off.

This has put a huge black cloud here at F150Lifts. Correct we didn't state that you could NOT to sell the Kit...but CLEARLY we were in this for the Christmas spirit in getting a kit to someone for a super winning gift from us and the other participating members of this forum. This will end our raffles for now.

I wasn't able to make it into this raffle because it sold out so quickly so I'm not directly affected, but if you decide to let him sell it, maybe encourage him to do so only to one of the entrants of this raffle? Or if you do refund his entry money, I would be more than happy to take his place for a chance at the redraw if everyone was okay with that

EDIT: Oops! A little late on responding. I was hoping for another raffle soon, but I can understand taking a break on the raffles.

There's one way around it Alex, as you cannot guarantee that the winner won't sell a kit. You could specify that warranty items, customer support, and the rebuild option are all waived if the kit is sold. I think that would deter would-be buyers enough to have the "winner" think twice before entering the raffle. You have the serial # from the raffled kit...could be easily done.

I'm disheartened to see some tarnish on an otherwise awesome transaction. The recent winner's post, prior the one I've now quoted, seems to put a little shine back on it, but still.
