Default F150FORUM.COM - Stats are in for 2009-2013 Pickups

So I have the stats. I tried to post the PDF file directly here, but it was 208K and the limit here is 117K, I even tried to split it in half thinking it would be around 100K each but no go, still too big.

So here is a link on a free site. I hope it works if not let me know and I'll try something else.

Thank you to everyone who took the survey, here are your results.
----------------------------------------------------------------
BTW Note that the High and Lows were deleted from the survey.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

There are two different files. A stats and a comment. The comment is attached and I have a link for the stats file.

Here is the link to the Ford STATS PDF file. You can download the comments by clicking it in my post.

mediafire would be a better way to go, it won't make people who are trying to download have to register an account.

Default Additional Mod Data?

h2ouup2,

Thank you very much for posting this information.

Great to see the lifted/lowered info...and the bed liner/tonneau cover data.

Are there any more stats on other mods (tires, wheels, floormats, etc.) members have done...or want to do?

Or anything that indicates a feature or option members want or wish their trucks had?

Thanks again.

No I didn't have any of that, but we could do another survey if the members were interested. I could even open this survey back up "if everyone wanted me to" and add more data to it, and watch then numbers change.

H2ouup2,

If the members are interested in re-opening this survey...or doing a new one that focuses on:

Mods planned

Features wanted

...it might be very helpful to the Ford Gods and perhaps vendors/aftermarket manufacturers to conjure up new products/features or offer special deals/group buys on items where there is a lot of interest.

Thanks again.

It would. My though was to get 2,000 surveys and then send to Ford. We only have a small sample here. But we could get one with our likes and dislikes etc and use it for all kinds of things like that.

I just need to know what type of info you guys and gals would want.

Doesn't look like too much interest in the stats.

Default The People Speak....

...and brands...even big brands listen.

I've worked in the automotive industry for all of my career...and sometimes even small data samples get big attention.

The Nissan Xterra is a perfect example. The product concept died twice in the development group....until the guys who were really behind it went out and found the group of people who really wanted...and would buy...something like the Xterra.

So...with some solid survey data...and some real fieldwork (Read: "Get out of the office and go talk to people who surf, kayak, snowboard, mountain bike, etc.") they had the anecdotal data to get a green light for the Xterra.

The power of a forum like this one is immense today. Everyone here has committed to the F150 product. Everyone wants it to be even better than it is...and we'll probably buy the next one that comes out, too.

It's SO much cheaper for car companies to keep loyal customers around than it is to go get new ones. And we are the "brand advocates"...the ones friends and neighbors ask about which truck to buy....and probably which motorcycle, lawn mower, power tool, rifle, shotgun, ATV, bowling ball, etc....

So we should speak up...let Ford and the aftermarket companies know what we like, don't like and want in our trucks. The small accessory companies don't have the money to do big research studies...but if they see a lot of talk on this forum about a particular need....maybe they'll invest the money to make it and market it.

And it will have been the power of your voices that made it happen.
