F150 vs Ecoboost Name

Lol I've been guilty of this I admit. I do it to get them to spool up them turbos. I have a 5.4 and I know it is not fast but I love the sound the turbo make. The exhaust not so much. Lol now my 9 year old son let's me know when a eco is beside me. Guess he likes it too.

Premium is another way to justify charging "Premium" dollars for standard. Same thing VW, Mercedes, even Buick have done for years. Sure it's new for a 1/2 on a Ford but far from new and innovative.
I will sell you premium property anywhere you want. I can spin that anything is the bee's knees if you will listen and buy it.

I totally agree with the original poster here. I have noticed for a while that people use the EB name too often and associate it with other problems.
Example: There is a current thread now named "Ecoboost Down". To someone that just scans past the title and doesn't read the thread it sounds like the EB engine crapped out when in fact the article is about a steering problem the guy is having.

While we are on the subject of the name......Could Ford have picked a more wimpy name than ECOBOOST with the "GREEN" logo on the truck.
Picked up my new FX 4 Ecoboost and people see that logo on the truck and think it is some kind of sissy low power hybrid.
Gotta admit, it's not very tuff sounding. I would have preferd nothing at all or at least have it say TWIN TURBO.
