Question F150 Illuminated Door Sills

Has anyone bought and installed these? How are they durability wise I think the Superduty ones have been around for awhile. the price to me anyways seems a tad expensive I'd hope the price drops over time. They do look pretty good but not sure I can justify that cost to see them only while my door is open. The cost is pretty much doubled if you want the rears as well.

Any input on these?

Get the ones that sultangris sells on here. Had them about a year and no problems. If I remember correctly they were just a little over $100 shipped for all 4.

Most defiantly.

Where is the install location for @SultanGris? Do they replace the plastic one that is snapped in place?

Nope, same place as the ones you posted, they stick to the paint with double sided tape!

I believe they install where they do just to make them more durable. No one will really ever step on them on the sill. If they put them where the plastic snaps into place, maybe there would be issues with the leds breaking over time.

I have the ones from SultanGris and they look good. It may be hard to justify the expense a little, but oh well right. It is a nice little added touch.

Sultangris - is there a way to replace the the black rubber piece on the edge? Mine has broke band is dangling. I don't step on it, but I guess my boot edge has caught it a bunch.

It's the RECON ones that are expensive. $500.00 for front and back I think Sultangris is like $100+ for all.

I agree with u as far as looks go, but that area of the truck seems to get stepped on more than the place where sultan installs his.. I don't think they would hold up well!

Exactly, and being made by little Mae Ling doesn't help either!
