It "may" sound like a ricer but that doesn't change the fact that it will still run circles around and outpull a 4.6, 5.4 or 5.0.

I own an Ecoboost and I call bs on that. It pulls okay but I highly doubt it will run circles around anything except for maybe the 3.7. They aren't as amazing as people make them out to be.

I doubt that the 5.0 puts out a lot more power

The powertrains are closely matched. The 5.0-liter makes 385 horsepower at 5750 rpm; the EcoBoost, 365 at 5000.

The difference is torque and where they deliver it. That is where the seat of the pants feeling comes in and also why the Eco feels like it isn't working as hard as the 5.0.
