F150 Courtesy Patrol WV Rescue

Anyone traveling the highways of WV will recognize these F150s as part of the WV Courtesy Patrol. They are here for motorist who are stranded etc. This is an article off our local news about how they were assisting trucks up the grades of the WV Turnpike. This particular grade at Sharon is a rather steep grade and they are using an F150 which is cool. Maybe Ford will like this and use it in a commercial so WV will finally have something positive LOL

Cool!! The WV Pike can be pretty nasty. When I was a rookie, I was north bound, after midnight, in the rain. If it hadn't been for a couple trucks behind me, I'd likely have just quit driving, for good! They talked me through it.;)

I live in WV and have shared this video on FB. WV just isn't equipped to handle a foot or more of snow.
Great video- watched it a few times

They had you guys shut down for a while up there didn't they. I heard 77 was a parking lot for over a hundred miles as well as 64. Such a shame we do not have the expertise to keep the snow from getting deep on the interstates. I could understand going to one lane but to have all the lanes being treated at the same way you would a light snow is not the way to do it.

The interstates were a mess. Our road crews are throwing salt with just an inch of snow. But when the larger snows hit, they mainly stay on the sidelines until it's over. The secondary roads are still untouched in many cases as of today.

DOH are the ones that made our roads here in WV get slick. When it started snowing they was slinging salt. Then they couldn't keep up with the amount of snow that was coming down in an hour. The snow was melted underneath it all til it to froze back.
