Trans Slip?
My 2012 5.0 Screw FX2 is starting to act a lil weird. It has 6600 miles on it. Sometimes it seems to not want to shift out of 1st. Also it seems like it slips in 3rd so bad it makes it sound like 2 dif gears....like it revs high for a while then finally locks into 3rd. Ive searched on here but haven't came across anyone with a problem similar....anyone have any input?

The 3rd gear shift has been talked about a bit.
If you're light on the throttle, it shifts to 3rd and then locks the converter making it feel like two shifts.
If you are heavier on the throttle it will feel different. I'm not sure the converter locks then, just shifts to 4th when needed.

A has been that never was
I felt the same thing for a long time with regard to 3rd gear. I did some research and learned that under normal driving conditions, the torque converter locks up just after 3 gear engages. Made perfect sense with how it felt. Never had a problem.
