I'm in just south of raleigh and there is 7 inches here. I hand two babies in the truck and wasn't going to pass on an opportunity to get them to warm house where food, drink and diapers were just to sit in traffic. My truck didn't slip at all and I felt it was more dangerous to sit in traffic for 7 hours than make a path home.
To each there own. It wasn't my fault for the circumstances but I did what I felt was the best for mine.
We simply don't have snow equipment here for the one or
Two times in 10 years it snows. Plow trucks and motor graders were getting stuck. So before they helped clog traffic, I passed them too.
All I know is my kids were home
Safe.

This post makes literally no sense at all.
It's in.. North Carolina.. They're all in.. North Carolina
In related news - here is a picture from Raleigh NC, where they got 2-3 inches of snow today.
This is how southerners handle a couple inches of snow, pretty frightening stuff to watch.
There were a fair number of hills that folks couldn't climb with rwd trucks or cars since traffic was stop and go but I've seen that happen all over the world. Fwd or 4x4 went right through it.
Imo it was basically July 4th Friday traffic with snow added to the mix.
I had to walk the last mile home because I knew there was no way my car would make it up the grade. It was pretty fun watching the cars that tried it. As expected, didn't make it.

to me that video shows the sheep mentality of most humans.... wait for someone to come help me and make it all better
i'd have done the same thing - no way I'm sitting stopped in traffic for hours if there's a way out. Even if you get a ticket, you still get your day in court to explain (and as said, the cruiser better be a 4x4 or they're not going to bother getting stuck trying to go after an infraction while there are 100's of accidents waiting on a response).

I was stuck in this in raleigh yesterday too, 5 hrs to go 12.5 miles. Awesome.
Did ok overall in my 5.0 2wd with stock michelins, got sideways one time going very slow up an off ramp, but used the e-locker (for the first time), and straightened back out and up the incline no problem.
What got me was 1: lack of any sense by most of the drivers here (ignoring things like lanes, emergency vehicles etc) and 2: number of people unwilling to get out of their cars to help someone stuck in front of them. A lot of people just seemed to rather sit in their cars on their iPhones while others struggled right in front of them.
End of the day, saw a lot of nonsense and unnecessary confusion. Rant over haha

Cool, but here in Canada that is just a Saturday in May. My F-150 goes through more snow than that while on the roads around here. Go on the person though using the truck for what it is capable of doing.
