Default F150 beer can model?

I was getting into my truck after getting a coffee and some guy compliments my truck. He then proceeds to ask me if it is the "beer can" model. Confused, I asked him what the heck is the beer can model? He answered the F150 aluminum body. I laughed an answered no. Is this what they are calling the newer models?

Oh you KNOW the Chevy/Ram boys will be hitting that hardcore, never mind the fact that HMMWVs have been made with this stuff for years now.

It'll be irrational, of course, but since when has being a fanboy been rational?

I have to be honest, though...

How cool would it be for Ford to actually offer an F150 "BeerCan" trim model, complete with the beer of your choice embroidered into the seats, built-in beer fridge, driver assist and engine disable when you're too sloshed to drive, etc. LOL

I always considered my 2011 Silverado the beer can model because anywhere you touched it it wrinkled in and dented like an empty beer can. and for god's sake don't lean against it while you're getting gas...

my sister has a audi a8 which has been a all aluminum body for many years, she got side swiped a month back, the insurance sent her to audi to get estimate for repairs, audi said the nearest shop certified to do aluminum repair is 300 miles away, so insurance totals the car, I live in a area with 480,000 people and not one shop is certified for aluminum repair. Not good for our new f150's

With time the shops will get the cert. At the end of the day its still metal, just different techniques to work with it.
